Goo job Apple
At last u get it done

Just finished my session at the Genius Bar. When I reached Apple Store 5 mins before opening, there were 3 staff there to make appointments for people and fortunately for me, was told my turn will be at 10:15am, but waited until around 10:40am.

The guy did a diagnostics test for me and now said camera fail, so what they’ll do is to bring my phone in and do a full camera module replacement, then run tests to make sure it’s working, or motherboard issues (if any). If camera issue alone, they’ll just return my phone directly, else they’ll replace the phone with a new one.

I’ve to return to the Apple Store at 1:15pm to collect back my X.

So how? Got your X back yet? Everything working ok now?

Yes returned home from Apple Store and confirmed it was the camera module faulty, hence replaced it and returned the phone back to me. Fortunately no need to anymore restoring from iTunes and now my phone feels like new! Camera's working perfectly well now. :D

And, they didn't remove my screen protector even though was told it would be, but I still replaced it anyway. =:p

Yes and I'm really impressed! This morning I reached there 5 mins to 10am, there already got some people waiting and got three Apple staff with iPads registering for Genius Bar appointments and some have made appointment already. So I approached one staff and told her about my issue. Immediately she registered my in on the spot and told me my appointment would be around 10:15am and I got served at around 10-35 - 10:40am.

I was surprised as I didn't make appointment initially at all and going to the Apple Store direct would have to wait for hours.

So after that the Apple Store opened and all the staff cheering and clapping. So I went up to second floor to wait. Fortunately I registered earlier as those who came in around 15mins - 20mins later and registered, have to wait 1.5 - 2hrs already.

Yup, I was told if no appointments made, need to wait 2-3 hours. Maybe you are lucky! Good for you man
