You still can roll back to iOS 12.4.1 if you want. Apple is still signing the firmware

Do note that, if you want to take advantage of a smaller app size, you have to "update" the existing app to use the feature.

No. It's the way Apple compiles the app now through Xcode publish or their App Store. I cannot remember is which.

noticed these annoying bugs in ios 13:

- recents album back to top crash (photos app auto exit)
- video editing: unable to select/drag trim start slider, lags and unresponsive especially for 4k 60fps videos
- missing location/places info when photo/videos are in recently deleted folder, the location info reappears when you recover them

Try again with iOS 13.1 on Wednesday.

I would like to update on the video trim leading slider issue that seem to affect only videos taken in portrait. i was able to drag the leading slider for landscape videos. So to edit a portrait video, i have to rotate it first to landscape, trim it, then rotate it back to portrait. hope they solve this in 13.1

The new format for email only works in app. Email signatures setting still don't support images and rich html format.

Anyone having issues with music cover art getting all messed up?

Tried various ways:
- restore from XS backup to Pro Max via iTunes
- migrate from XS to Pro Max phone to phone
- remove downloaded music manually & resync from iTunes

No joy... playlist cover art still messed up. This morning after I restarted phone even cover art in album list also messed up. Most frustrating migration to a new phone ever...

It is on Apple's end now. Since 12.3 iOS comes with Swift Libraries in it and no longer in the apps a long with other underlying work. Only on 13 this is coming into full effect.

A completely fresh install of Apps should force the device to download these smaller and more optimized versions or app updates should be pushed in deltas now and that means it is the new version of packages.

It is at these things that help the load times of apps too.

Mine! My iPhone X curating the photos for new iphone 11. Doesn’t realise any differences before and after the process.

It goes into mostly the For me tab of Photos. A long with the Days, Months and yearly views under Photos tab. It runs CoreML through the library to create these previews and recommendation you see all completely on your device.

did they make reachability less sensitive?

now having hard time trying to swipe down with one hand...

must either swipe down very fast (end up using 2 hands to steady the phone), or "lift" up the app then forcibly "pull" the app down with enough momentum to initiate reachability...

A lot of Apps need to be updated. Nowadays, I usually don't update iOS version once it is released. I will wait for a couple of weeks for dev to update their Apps first. But changing of iPhone no choice...

been beta testing ios 13 and 13.1 since it is available. i can say both are still pretty buggy. it is very un-apple-ish for apple to release half-bake products though. hope they can quickly fix all the issues.

i am no beta 4 of ios 13.1 with iphone 11. sometimes opening certain apps, eg, the app store, it will display a blank screen. i have to close the app and try opening again, sometimes doing this more than 2x, to get the app store to load.

Music app, tried to download all the music from a playlist but some songs will not download. sigh...

I agree. Beta 4 isn’t very stable as well. Remember that we will not be getting further beta for iOS 13.1 since release is just 2 days away. No GM either for dot releases.

iOS 13.2 beta will start next week, I think.

scary right, for a GM to be unstable. but overall user experience is still much better than ios 12. since i am beta testing, i dun mind some hiccups here and there, but the final release need to be 99% perfect, which is not, right now.

Oh, so for end user like us should just wait for 13.2? I remembered iOS 11 time I was waiting till 11.3 then upgrade.
