Disable location for banking apps.. Dun let any banking app had access to your location. This seem to solve the issue for many.

Bros above gave some recommendations to disable location for the app. Maybe you can try. It’s really a hassle not to be about to use the a bank app.
Location permission to the app? I never allowed it. But I do switch on my location all the time for other apps

U using DBS? Download POSB instead. Deny access to location when POSB app asking for it.
Then login as normal and then logout. Then head to settings and press here and there, first time login, u might encountered hang.. Then close all the apps on your phone including background. Shut down your phone and power on again. This is the whole process which I did for my colleagues, they can now use banking freely and they got no excuses for unable to transfer me money from lunch which I paid first.

No issue with mine. The watch can detect u wearing it? Try cleaning the sensors at the back of your watch? Turn on wifi and bluetooth on both your phone and watch also. Are u on latest firmware on your watch?

Dunno is it my eyes playing a trick, unlocking with AW seem much faster. Mine is like instantly unlock just like without wearing mask.
Mine works instantaneously at times when there's a direct link between watch and phone, otherwise it's a bit off

So far, the trick is, u have to scan your face normally with mask on, it will work. For me, after the latest updates, yet to encounter failure to unlock. The front camera must see your face with mask on. Maybe u try to ensure the phone camera is facing u and not on the table facing the ceiling. :) Or maybe redo your face scan on the phone?

Make sure these criteria are met:

1. Your iPhone is on iOS 14.5 or later, and Watch is on watchOS 7.4 or later.
2. Your Watch's passcode is enabled.
3. In iPhone's Face ID & Passcode settings, unlock with Apple Watch option is turned on.
4. Your iPhone's Wi-Fi remains turned on.

That should do it.

Got this from Apple forum which U can try. Else if still cannot, best way is to reset your watch and pair it from the begining.

You may have configured your Apple Watch to use Wrist Detection and Unlock with iPhone. To unlock your watch, you need to wear it and then unlock your iPhone, which then also unlocks your watch. This can be configured differently.

First, check that your iPhone software is fully up to date: Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Then, on your iPhone, in the Apple Watch app, go to:

  • My Watch > General > Wrist Detection - check this is on (also try toggling it off, pausing for a minute and then toggling it back on again).
  • My Watch > Passcode > Turn Passcode On, then set either a simply (4-digit) or longer passcode.
  • My Watch > Passcode > Unlock with iPhone - also enable this (if it is not already).

Having made the changes, it may help to restart (or, if that doesn't help, force restart) both your iPhone and your Apple Watch.

- Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears; Drag the slider to turn your iPhone off; When it has finished turning off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

- Force restart iPhone: press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

- Restart Apple Watch: Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; Drag the slider to turn off completely; Afterwards, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

- Force restart Apple Watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

After putting it on your wrist, your watch should now unlock after whatever you do first: either unlock your watch with the passcode or unlock your iPhone.

Using a Passcode can also avoid other potential problems, such as:

- If you are without your iPhone, your watch may become locked after temporarily losing contact with your wrist.

- If your iPhone gets misplaced or stolen.

Enabling Wrist Detection and a Passcode is also required if you want to use Apple Pay on your watch.

Will try when I’m home. Thanks!
