I realised the unlock with Apple watch seems quite a hit and miss. At times I need to unlock using passcode on my phone more than once sometimes twice or thrice for it to work afterwards. Sigh

My is almost always spot on except maybe 2-3 times so far that have to unlock via phone. But this is a new feature, future updates definitely will improve the reliability of it.

Tough luck, it is always better to stay on the base (or +1/2) iOS versions. Old devices will almost always be on the losing end for new iOS releases.
I'm also using a 7+ on the latest update, I feel it's still usable lah. Newer phones definitely age better as compared to the Galaxy S2 era, those really don't age well at all.

Meaning???
Usually my 11PM doesn’t go below than 50% (charge cycle is between 10pm-12am) even with heavy use. On weekends I play YouTube videos for 2 hours plus before sleeping. Pre 14.5 I could show 6h+ with 45-50% remaining. Now I can only show 35% by 11pm that day when I was out late. Mostly listening to downloaded musics through Airpods.

Seems like the battery calibration process on my 11 PM has completed. Updated the initial 14.5 on public release day so it took about a month to calibrate. Battery health went from 91% to 92%. Battery drain has somewhat reduced too, probably because the calibration process has stopped. Shall monitor if the drain is still there.
