My wifi will not connect. It was connected then halfway through, it will DC and won't connect anymore. Even after i off the wifi and on again. Had this problem on 8.0 and now still having problem

Maybe it is the high ping.
Mine goes to 1000ms...

Checked the same WiFi network with other devices...5-10ms

Mine still working after iOS8.0.2 update. Don't have to use my iPhone to call or answer while using my iPad air, just use iPad can already.

For those who can't do continuity.

Do this:

Go to setting > FaceTime > turn on iPhone cellular calls.

Somehow during the 8.0.2 upgrade process this was turned off.
It works for me.

Getting v impatient already.. update already still cannot fix my wifi..

Feel like getting back 7.1.2 already

iPhone 5 on iOS 8 no issue so far.
iPhone 6 on iOS 8.02 also no issue so far.

For people facing wifi issue, I suggest change your wifi network from 5GHz to 2.4GHz, or simply switch to 2.4GHz SSID if you are running dual band for now to get back the stability, and then run some investigation like using other phones, laptops to test, scanning for unused wifi channel and use it, and lastly check is it your router or environment issue.

I used to face wifi dropping every 1 min on my 5 but after upgrading to iOS 8 no more issue.

From my experience in communication line, sometimes it's the things that you may not think of. For a start certain big audio system setup will affect router placed too closed to it. Water is also a source of interferences.

Tried before this method. And also used "reset network settings" method.

Both only temporary solution, fast for a period of time then after that back to crawling speeds. Sometimes can even take up to 5 seconds to send out a whatsapp message.

Lucky my first gen ipad mini dont suffer from this problem

I've tried disabling all 5ghz n only use 2.4ghz + reset network settings. still e same. devices on iOS 7.1.2 normal latency but devices on iOS 8.0.2 exhibit high latency n dropped packets.

really a bummer. bobian gotta patiently wait for nx release hopefully fixes this issue.
