[Software Update] iOS 8.1.1 released

Latest IOS 8.1.1 seems pretty good so far.

- occasional lag when using some apps gone
- iCloud sync appears much smoother and reliable

For other phone manufacturers I agree. For Apple, they earn more by having more iOS users. My experience has been positive. Even the iPad 2 works great
Yes! Apple's philosophy is about giving the user that "great experience" when using its devices and software. Making money while is important, it is not its only main and sole driving motivator when they release new products. When your products are unique, of higher quality and reliability, the perception will be positive. And in turn generates loyalty and profits in the long term.

Case in point. Bendgate, vibrategate, IOS 8.0.2, etc issues are not causing any dent in the sales.

Can I update via iTunes on another person pc without syncing any data to the system?

Updated but batt life is quite bad. Updated with batt at 96% surf hardwareZone for 5 mins left 92%
