[Software Update] iOS 8.3 discussions

updated to ios 8.3 but it isnt super fast or anything, just a slight bump in speed is what i noticed.

if update ios thru iTunes, will the data inside the iphone still be intact or i still need to reload the data back into the iphone again after ios update?

Yep. Switched to my Starhub WiFi to download update.

It will be intact cos it's just an update, not restore.

yea. i use itune. i tried toggling till my screen crack also cannot.

8.3 is prob e most stable ver of iOS 8 yet. e wifi doesn't randomly drop anymore. 5s user here.

those on 8.3, did they remove the . at the keyboard when u r typing ur search term in safari and did they remove the mic icon when u r typing replies to this thread?

Make sure to check a few times. At first will work but then subsequent times will not.
To clarify, only email messages fail to appear. Others like contacts or apps still do appear.

Call Apple, did a few suggested steps but still failed. She got a sample phone & also experience the same issue I am facing. It was a relieve to hear that.

Passed to a senior specialist & the final thing (apart from restore which I am against it as I will loss all the sms, email.....) is to do a hard restart.

It improve a little. Now even after it failed to work, trying it again suddenly will.

Customer Service is still top notch.

they didnt remove the . in safari but they remove it in the reply box and in messages. i didnt notice this until u say so. usually i don put . in my msg haha.

no they didn't remove the mic(dictation) . but they remove the voice msg at other places other than msg.

thanks. i guess i wait than ...

i disable dictation from keyboard settings, now is waiting for them to remove . when typing in safari.
