Personally my iPhone 5s batt drains a lot faster. Definitely not placebo because sometimes even drop like 2% suddenly within 10s (just as I typed this message, it dropped from 61 to 59%). Have reset settings and everything off including find my iPhone but no use. Going to send in for servicing soon. Damn pissed. It wasn't that bad when it was on 8.2. Anyway my phone less than a year old... :(

Have you tried a fresh restore? Reset all settings only works for some people. Most people find success with a fresh restore. It's most probably a software issue so I don't see a point if you send it in for servicing??

I agree with chester.

Its always good to perform a full restore of the phone, without restoring from any backup.

From there monitor. Always run the latest version of iOS.

Although this is the best way to totally eliminate any issues with OTA updates draining your battery, I hate to do it unless it's really a last resort. Cos you cannot restore from backup which sucks, especially cos you can't manually put back your chat history & game data as of iOS 8.3. :(

The proper way into reset the device before getting the updates and restore apps again

Tried resetting network settings and going to Settings / About to check for carrier settings update?

full restore as in
we backup all data to itunes then full factory reset on phone and do a full restore from itunes?

1. Update to iOS 8.3.
2. Reset All Contents & Settings.
3. Monitor from there.

Do not restore from a backup.

u must understand the now iPhone 6 is out , apple may have concentrated on the iPhone 6 as ios 8.3 is mostly tested on newer devices.

61% to 59% is happened for all iOS 8 onward, is OS known bug...there are a few percentage will drop 2% , 55 > 53, 31 > 29. 28 > 26, 16 > 14
