Hi guys, recently I upgraded to an eVGA 970gtx graphics card and realised that it is sagging slightly at the end of the card away from the PCI slots.

Did some research online and saw this acrylic GPU support brace. Will it work? Anyone try before?

Update:
Decided to order and received my brace recently. Tested the LED lights but yet to find the time to tidy my rig and install though.

Never really tried using a third party brace. I am not sure if acrylic is a good material to support the graphic card especially on a component that runs hot.

That's something to take note of, I just checked again how the brace works, looks like it shouldn't be affected by the heat so much.

Acrylic no problem at all.

I made about 5 or 6 sets of acrylic graphic card support using 3mm and 5mm thick acrylic for friends.

arcylic melts at 160°C

There simply no chance for the internal temperature to reach 160°C for acrylic to melt. Before the temperature reach 160°C, those 105°C capacitors already popped through the top.

The thermal deformation stage is about 90°C to 95°C depends on extrude or cast acrylic and manufacturer. Cast acrylic thermal deform at a temperature slightly higher than extrude acrylic and less deformation during laser cut process or engraving.

Has been hesitating whether to buy the mod or not until I saw this. Looks really good.

Gonna take one more day to cool down and decide if I want to place the order or not.
