Same chip so likely same performance. Minor exterior updates, e.g. thicker pads, reworked hinges, etc. New features will be the pause on remove, possibly multi-point, etc. Not much improvement if you alr own a XM3 unless those new features are a must have for you.

Quite disappointing to know that there is not much of an upgrade for the XM4.

Also, if my desktop doesn't have Bluetooth, can i buy a USB Bluetooth adaptor so I can listen to music and do video conferencing on my desktop? Will there be any lag or other issues? Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor?

I suggest you stick to using wired earphones with mic for desktop video conferencing. Bluetooth headphones arent good for that when connected to pc because they wont switch functions automatically for you. You need to know to enable/disable devices manually to get it to work for you. For entertainment purposes, sure. The delay is there but you wont notice it most of the time. Personally i only really notice bluetooth lag when i play music/rhythm games like djmax or cytus.

Now still $499.

Think I will wait for 11.11 promo or black Friday liao.
Still happy with my XM3 atm, esp after having just changed to new earpads recently.

WH is alr sound better than WF due to its over the ear design.. XM4 is said to further improve on XM3 but I think most people would be satisfied enough to XM3 quality..

Maybe i find it too much paying 500 dollars for a headphones. So might consider the xm3 at 300 dollar price point more affordable
