Gents. Was thinking of purchasing it from Sony Official Store vs an unauthorised store (which has 3x the number of purchases compared to Sony Official Store). Both Lazada sellers.

The price difference works out to about $80.

Is the additional $80 worth it for extra peace of mind?

I bought 299 eh, can't find 260-280 but nvm at least there's local warranty

You buy from korean(china-man) or the store that ask you whatsapp them rather than reply QnA in qoo10, then idk

arrived, waiting for seller to let me know which store to select when registering for warranty. the serial number checks out though

came with 100% battery and 4.1.1 firmware
just updated to 4.2.2, the noise cancelling is really gaolat

where you bought yours from. 299 good price liao. i bought from qoo10 and paid 339. I tried a xm3 with 2.0.0 firmware in bangkok, the anc is way way way better than 4.1.1 and 4.2.2. Thats actually the reason why i decided to buy.

looking at the forum, i think im the very few exceptionally suay kia to get a faulty model. Pay $300+ better check to make sure everything is flawless, so you may considering doing this to test for faults;

1) off music and on anc, then walk around and shake your headabit, check for clicking sound.
2) go to a quiet place, off music and on anc. observe for hissing/static nose. can also feel abit of weird pressure. Hard to notice when music is on.


Really like the sound of sony xm3, but those small faults really irritates the f out of me.

Same, warranty til 2021 feb. I went to check the qoo10 store, based on the address and Google maps I selected Ghim something something on the Sony warranty page

Sony's webpage stated that registering your product online gets you an additional 3 months warranty

Just got my XM3 at Changi Airport when I departed for my holidays. Paid $409 net. Very happy with the ANC. Reduce airplane engine rumble by so much. This is my first ANC device and its wow for me.

Nice, did you update the firmware?
If you didn't, you might consider not doing so as the algorithm was changed and high frequency are less blocked; good for being able to hear high frequency sounds like siren, bells, metal scraping, but human voices with higher pitch can hear very slightly.

My XM3 is very comfortable now since I install my very own DIY comfort foam ring .

comfortable or better than Bose qc35 without losing sound quality and ANC. my ear can breath now no more sweaty ears.

Do they ask for original receipt and does the Qoo10 receipt suffice?
