Hi, just bought this nice camera.. So far a happy user but I can't seem to get a tack sharp image, I don't think is the camera problem, I think it's me, haha. I'm still new to photography, even though done alot of reading and had some practice during holidays. any tips?

be mind of your shutter speed you select..

try take photos with tripod.. and compare with handheld photos..
if with tripod.. you get sharp photos then you should learn how to steady your hand/pose when taking photos handheld...

Bring to sony for calibration.

Thanks, will try! Do I need to calibrate often? How do they calibrate?

Oh.. Totally did not think of doing this kind of comparison, thanks! will try it when I have the time.

how many lens do you have..? can you do comparison between the lenses?

Previously, one of my lens was not sharp compare to other lenses.. so i sent the particular lens with my camera to service center for calibration.. come out with good sharpness like the others.

try also a breathing technique like in the army when you are about to shoot.. same concept.. haha
but if using a tripod also not sharp.. send them to SC

when shooting using tripod.. off your image stabilization and use self timer

Are u using the kit lens? If you don't mind third party prime lens, sigma 19mm and 35mm is pretty good choice for sharp picture.

I am into real estate photography, so i suppose the SEL1018 is the only option out there (though the kit lens 16-50mm is doing a pretty decent job for me).

But not sure if the image quality is that great on the 10-18 (based on DXOMark's rating) and for that price...seems a little overpriced?

Any users of the lens can offer their reviews? Thanks! :)

If you don't mind a cheaper option, how about the Rokinon 12mm manual lens?

anyone has any good wide angle lens for a6000 to recommend? looking at sigma 19mm, looks to be the best value for money.
