just bought my a6000 on Tue. My Samsung NX300 had to be decom, so I had to get replacement for my trip next week. Still playing with it and learning to operate it.

Anyone upgraded to the latest software? is it worth upgrading? or should I just use it as is now?

My NX1000 decommissioned already. Still holding it because it has a nice stabilized 50-200mm zoom.

The A6000 got a lot of aftermarket accessories to fiddle around with. I have a set of legacy lenses and the E-mount has the most diverse amount of adapters after the 4/3 mount.

One thing I can say that you should set first. Turn on airplane mode. Saves a lot of battery power. Unlike the NX1000 where I am comfortable carrying 2 batteries. A6000 you need to carry around 3.

BTW, you cannot charge the battery and use the phone at the same time. So screw the idea of using a powerbank stuck to it and using it at the same time.

nice tips, didn't know that using airplane mode makes a difference.

charging using a power bank is still an advantage here, when you are not using, you can leave it to charge using a power bank anywhere.
