These are the price that I saw in Best Denki (Vivo) yesterday (28/4/2018) under May Day promo until end of this month.

Sony KD-49X8000E $1549
Sony KD-49X7000E $1249
Sony KDL-49W750E $1249
Sony KDL-49W800F $1329
Sony KDL-50W660F $949

I couldn't find price for KD-49X8500F. And I'm hoping there is a place selling cheaper than BD if I go for cash payment.

Please let me know if you have any info on that. I'm considering to get either X8500F or X8000E. My budget is between $1450 to $1550.

Thanks in advance.

Just a tip, if you are on budget just get previous year model.
Usually the new model doesn't have any significant improvement.
The Android version is newer as well as the leg stand for I noticed is different.
So far I am happy with my x8000e brought few months ago.

Official launch is next week
Must be so. I could not find this model KD55X8500F on website of Best denki now.

It is the same as LG which announced its new range of UHD tvs on website last week and was only launched 4 days ago. At LG website, I still cannot find out the tech specs but with the help of binglee.com.au which sells similar LG products with slightly different model #, I am able to roughly know what to expect for 55UK7500PTA with power consumption included.

Price of 55x8500F likely to be in $2,699 to $2,999 range.

Just bought a 49"X8500F from Sony with their current on going promo price of $1,849.00.

My previous TV was last year's model 49" X8000E. Also bought it around the same period and price during their promo. Gave my dad the X8000E.

So far for both TVs not much diff. Maybe for the 2018 model, when going into the home menu and selecting apps not so laggy. (one of my complains about the 2017 models)

I followed the settings recommended by the website RTINGS.com which offs basically almost every new function on the X8500F (Motion flow, Live color etc.) :s13:

In fact I find the colors on my X8000E are better. (Also followed RTINGS.com settings)

Side question, am confused with Sony's naming any one can clarify?

X8500F (Singapore) is X850F for the US/UK?
X8000E (Singapore) X800E for the US/UK?

Thanks for the tip. I also think in that way too if the price gap is significant.
