Which would you go for?
65” X8500F or 55” X9000F?

65” X8500F is $340 more expensive than the 55” X9000F after I kept trying to bargain

Ed.YEO, 谢谢您的回应!

9000F hands down is a better display. May I suggest the 60 inch 8300F? It's in between the 8500 and 9000 despite the naming convention indicating that it's lower. VA panel like the 9000F. And it's cheaper than the 9000F. Otherwise just get the X9000F. Better image processor and better performance all around.

Personally I'll stay away from OLED. But that's just me. Especially if you game a lot. Burn in is real.

for those who might be considering,
got the 55X7500F on 23rd Fri at $1799, came with free one-flick remote, wireless keyboard and mouse and the Android stick, plus a $1 top up for the HTCT290 soundbar

at that point of time, 55X9000F was going at $2799, felt that the price was a little too high so didnt go for it (but seems that the price has gone down a fair bit this few days?)

several places promoters were pushing the LG 55SK8500 for $2199 with $300MC and $100 vouchers, but had concerns on the reliability of LG TVs so didnt take the dive even though i knew this was full array

have some questions....

1) X9000F,
2) X9400E/X9300E
3) X9000E

is X9000F the latest range and what's the difference between these 3 ranges? And which would you recommend to buy?

Pricewise, for a 55", X9400E/X9300E > X9000E > X9000F...

Yes X9000F is the latest range. Where are u getting the X9000E or X9300E? The X9400E is only for 75 inch. parallel imports? I asked the same question on Bravia reddit here. https://www.reddit.com/r/bravia/comments/9yfqhe/x900e_vs_x930e_vs_x900f/

I saw X9000E and X9300E on the Sony official website...so does it mean they don't offer it here in Singapore...and the sony website listed X9000E as more expensive than X9000F...

best price for X9000F, 55" is hovering around 2500-2700 this week?

X9000F is the replacement for X9000E. X9300E is better than both imo except for motion as its brighter and really shines in HDR but it's horrendously overpriced in SG and out of production as well so it's hard to find. It's super thin and svelte but almost twice the weight. As for X9000F it can be found at 2.4k to 2.5k without freebies.

i also bought the 55x7500f but was a few weeks back earlier cos my TV colours were weird (imagine everyone looking like avatar characters) bought at 1999 from courts with the HT-CT290.

edit: my initial budget was 1k and was looking at FHD TV :s13: talked with the wife and decided to get something better and was looking at the non-android version initially but got psychoed by the salesperson. haha but no regrets. infinitely better than my previous TV - a philips FHD non-smart tv.

Thanks for weighing in, I am still sitting on the fence deciding on either this 55X9000F or 55LGB8, not sure if there will still be any further price drop for these 2 come Xmas or new year

Bro, not very good at traditional Chinese, but r u saying Sony’s highest end non-OLED won’t be able to compare to a LG OLED?

I guess u r correct? I was at a a shop just now, think can see the difference between LGB8 vs SonyX9000F

Just to share, evening was at Orchard Wisma Atria Sony centre looking at the X9000F and the Sony guy do a demo by playback 4k blu ray disc movie - Justice League on the 65 inch screen , using the X700 player connect to a sound bar (did not notice what model) than HDMI from sound bar to the tv. He was trying to demo the difference between Dolby version and HDR features...to my horror...the video quality was not sharp at all and the color was not lively. The Sony guy tried to do some setting adjustments and toggle between Dolby vision and HDR but the results still the same.

He apologize for the poor demo but still do not know what went wrong. I just said is OK and told him next time I bring my own Justice League disc for demo.
