Need to get some feedback from Sony Android TV users here. Eversince the Firmware ugprade to Android 6, somehow Sony remove some video codec, as a result, many apps that i installed are affected,, cant play the video streaming properly.. The TV @ Android 5 was running very well, compatible with most apps. Now it is bad, i have to use another Android TV box to install my paid IPTV app..

I am using X8500C 65" Sony TV..I have used Android TV platform since it was launched at USA...no stranger over the interface..

I am using KD-55X8500D in my living room and it's connected to my computer via HDMI cable. So now on and off I can switch HDMI port to project different content (computer, digital TV channels, Sony apps etc)

Now I want to move the computer into my study room but would like to still able to access the computer content (browser, folders, files etc, as good as using the computer in the living room) on my TV. My TV is connected to network on LAN whereas computer can be on both LAN and Wifi.

Is there a way to achieve that?

is there WIDI feature on both your tv and computer? thats for mirroring. but if u just want the sharing of files or folders from ur computer to tv, u can use DLNA for it. You may need to download 3rd app/program on your computer to support.

alternatively, if the sony does come with its cloud svc or using 3rd party cloud svc, u can make use of it to sync your files from ur computer. i know samsung smart tv has it.
