I couldn't connect my TDG-BT500A 3D glasses to my W800C. How do you know if it is connected? Do you need any extra accessories? I've tried following the instructions in the book but it still didn't work. The device list in the Bluetooth setting does not show the 3D glasses either.

You need to press the on button on the glasses. It is auto connected if it is a 3D source. Quite difficult to find 3D suitable for this passive glasses. Those in YouTube are those for left-right 3D types which cannot be viewed.

Any bros knows any other place where we can see 3D videos besides YouTube ?

Thank you Sony, for leaving me 4 huge gaping holes in my wall, I had really thought you would be in my home for several years. Dun worry, I've got nothing else better to do than to patch up and repaint after you. Thank you also for all the wall dust dropped onto my floor. It is my duty afterall to keep my house clean. Other than that, thanks for nothing else, i hope the bank doesn't reject your cheque with the cancelled figures

Btw, I dunno if fellow 55X8500C owners that connect their TVs via wired LAN & possessing a >100Mbps fiber subscription can verify this:

can you tell if your 55X8500C unit is connected at 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps? I am connecting my unit via a wall LAN point that's inturn, patched to a gigabit switch & my switch's console is stating that the connection is only 100Mbps.

There's no issue with that wall outlet as I'm definitely able to exceed 100Mbps download bandwidth when performing speedtest via a conventional laptop that's connected to that same LAN point.

i tested the 65X9300C and first thing come to my mind is "wow the built-in speakers is very solid". the speakers sound even better than my 5.1ch HT system

Apparently it's also thinner than a few of their Xperia cellphones.

when the tv is delieved ? can you try use google to search ? do you have to type in word by word or using voice search function?

Just curious: any particular reason why you are asking this?

I was told to update the firmware from their website. I haven't tried it out since my actual TV set have patches of clouding. They claimed to exchange a "new" set for me. The exchanged set turns out to be a used one, 12 hours of usage and 68 times of booting on.

So I've paid my money on a used set? Disappointing.

Went to mustafa and 75x8500c is $6389! Wall mount and installation free. I asked whether the 4 x 3d glasses. Remote and hdmi is included and the saleman said yes.

Just bought the Sony KD-43X8300C from Mustafa. The TV are selling much cheaper there.

Bought it for $1379 including the one flick remote instead of $1499.

I just saw the 43X8300C at best denki....really nice set with thin bezel, but no 3D . was quoted $1449 . does best denki do price match ?

was considering LG 43UF770T going for about $15xx currently. the sony i think looks much sleeker.

Not sure about Best Denki but i found out Gain City does.

To supplement what I said earlier, for wired connection, my TV is patched to port5 of my switch (notice the speed is 100M-F):

A question for the owners: Does the W800C series come with a recording function?

A check on the operating instructions (http://www.sony.com.sg/support/product/kdl-55w800c) shows that the Au/NZ models come with the feature.

How many people does does it take to do a wall mount for a 43inch TV ? and do they charge differently for those fixed wall mount and those mount with movable arms ?

some also charge more if the height is higher.

Best denki sales man gave me a flat rate of $100 for wall mount and installation. the wall mount is those with arms . you think it's a good deal ?

Yes, those mounts that can flex are usually more expensive than basic ones

I thought that most throw in free wall mounting with purchase of a new TV?
