How did you tell your usage hours?
What model is yours?
Did you ask for 1 more exchange by showing the usage hours to the delivery person?

I was at work when the technician came to make a replacement, my family members attended to him. I even wrote a small note to remind him to check the hours of usage. None was done and I had to do it myself, only to realise that it was a used set which they claimed to be "new". Brought this up to Sony directly and has been dragging for weeks. Disappointed.

Has anyone tried comparing between X8300C and W800C ? do you see any big difference between the 2 ?

I bought the x8300C and wanted to get additional sets but now thinking to get X800C instead. physically they both looked about the same.

What's the model?
Did the Sony staff that received your report about the inconsistent usage hours, appear "surprised"?
Did you get from Sony directly?

W800C. Meanwhile waiting for their reply as much time is wasted on this matter.

should not be the TV, also experiencing issues with synology after the dsm 4.xx upgrades, just restart the NAS should work

I flagged this a few pages back: here & here.

I don't think the hardware is Gigabit-capable (only Fast Ethernet, i.e. 100Mbps). That is a disappointment though.

Also note that the TV is AC-capable, so that may be another approach to circumvent the 100Mbps-wired-limit.

Curious if other 2015 models from other brands are also non-gigabit-capable.

55x8500c has x1 chip whereas 55x800C does not have .

The x1 chip control 4k color and at the same time provide smooth, no lag gaming @ 120Hz. when using 55x800c for damanding games, the TV screen will go blank or reset itself at times.

I doubt it's the NAS problem. My 2 LG TV never have this problem.

I need to actually off the electrical switch for my Sony TV ( turn off on remote does not work) and then turn it on before it detects my NAS again.

Something is not right. hope future firmware solve this problem.

ALso, if you have a bluetooth keyboard connected and you use the one flick remote, you can't bring up the on-screen keyboard for typing, have to type on the external connected keyboard.

Have you tried the Wifi speed ? my broadband is only 100MBPs, so it's kind of the same as wired connection.

perhaps i should highlight a problem i faced yesterday (first and only time so far)

when i left the house, i press the power button to switch the screen off. power remains plugged.

when i got back 2 hours later, i press the power button again, my tv channels are all covered with a strong bright green tint. when Home button pressed, its a total blank green screen with no apps, or menu that can be seen. i turn off tv again, same problem.

i pull the plug, and turn on the main power and tv, and everything is back to normal.

anyone else encounter this? my is apparently on the latest firmware.
