with the introduction of the new models, would they do a fire sale of the current models?

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen.

However in Australia. The 75X8500C is selling AU$3600 after a 20% off from eBay Australia. The market price is $4500 over there. In Sg. U still have to pay $6500 fof that. Every sony tv modelover there are 20% cheaper and that is without sale or bargain

Of course W700c. Newer doesn't equal better.

how about between W800C and W700C?

seems like W800C contain more features
saw the PQ and found W800C better as well, but the results from google told me otherwise, that 700C is just W800C w/o 3D

Same here, think if 700c or 800c.
What catch me is 800c comes with the android TV features.

I'm not so much into the android features as I'm probably gonna get an android box or raspberry pi to install kodi on it

I'm just more concerned about the PQ because the difference I saw between the 2 models was night and day.

I haven't had the chance to get the sales person to let me test it out so yeah, hoping to see some input

these *sale* prices have been in shops for 1 year. LOL.
never trust any sale or "special event sale" in SG, my motto. either same old price, or contain hidden gimmicks. really cheaper price are only those *display sets*.

i would buy W800C. the extra features are a plus, even if you don't use it.
W800C has a higher refresh rate at 100Hz, 700C is 50Hz. we talk about panel refresh rate, not those jargon rate who knows what sht it is.

if u are really buying FHD, you should buy the best in the market. it is a better strategy than buying a cheapo 4K TV just to jump in 4K wagon.

W800C should have thinner bezels than W700C.

the only thing stopping you is the size and ur watching distance, perhaps.

it's really my budget hahaha

I'm getting a 50", saw it going for 1399 at mustafa, probably the cheapest around

I measured the distance between the wall and where I will be seating, experts say that i would need 70" lmao

so I will get a 50" and a wall amount that allows me to swivel and extend

Any good place to recommend please?
My TV is down and need a replacement ASAP.

My personal preference is to check with these 2 places:-

(1) Woodlands Domestic Electrical

(2) Paris Silk Store

Just google the numbers and give them a call.

They used to provide 5 year Sony warranty on older models when those electronics superstores were only standard 3 years ...

Does anyone know if they still do that?

Bo liao ..... I think standard warranty already.

Told me to register the warranty online when I receive the TV.
