Hi all, I'm keen on the 2015 models 55X8000C which is gonna discontinue soon. Can I check the only difference between x8000c and x8500c is just the 3D function? In any case I note sony is no longer marketing X8500C.

On the update to HDR. I note the update is also available for X8000C. Has anyone tried?

Thanks in advance.

Gabriel Lee at BD Waterway direct reduction with a $100 voucher (LG freebies intact) to be paid by Net / Cash only
ie 2799 - 150 (8% Nets payment Cashback ) - 100 (voucher) = $2549

note different staff likely different deal

Hi all,

I wish to purchase a Sony W650D 48"

Sony shops selling at $1149 minus $200 cashback

Is it worth buying it at $949 from Sony shop?

Or are there better places to buy from? How much would I save?

TIA for all your valuable input.

I'm quite sure mustafa sells at $859 and you might want to drop by best denki at waterway point since they have pretty huge store opening promotions. might get a gd deal!

Thanks for the info.

Forgot to add. I live in Jurong. So anywhere in the West would be extra useful.

Think I'll check Best Denki at IMM first. See what they offer

I assume you're referring to the 65-inch model.

Sony is FHD, does 3D, Android TV OS and has split-screen handling. It's a 2015 model.

LG is 4K, no 3D, WebOS 2.0 and no split-screen handling. It's a 2016 model.

As a whole, the LG is more value for money. Mustafa is even selling the 65UH600T model for under S$2600 when I checked today.

However, you're personal requirements may vary so choose appropriately.

hows the sony W850c FHD compare to LG 4Ktv? for range below 3k

For 65-inch??
It must be just a 55-inch.

Mustafa has the best deals in town at this point of time; I know because my parents just bought a TV and went around the island checking prices.

As for LG or Sony, it's quite straightforward - do try both TV's interfaces and remotes. See which you like better; you'll be using this for a long time to come. But frankly speaking, the LG is the better choice between the two unless you need split screen handling and don't mind a non-4K screen.
