Any comment on 49W750D? Thanks.

Basic Full HD TV, Smart feature is very basic you got
Opera Browser, Netflix, Youtube that's about it.
Unlike others you can't add any apps to it but sometimes
Sony may add new feature to it VIA software update.

Do take note W750D has only two HDMI input, pricing wise
you can check either Mustafa or Courts for better pricing.

Thanks for the info.

Forgot to add. I live in Jurong. So anywhere in the West would be extra useful.

Think I'll check Best Denki at IMM first. See what they offer
for sony... best denki seems to always offer a better price than others

It's should be better than 48W700C, except HDMI ports?
Price difference between the 2 is $150.

W700C is a last year model, I owned one and it's a good buy.
But this model will no longer be available soon since w750D
will replacing it.

That is why most places are selling it cheap as they are clearing
off this old model.
Between W700C and W750D, W750D is a more simplified TV with only 2 HDMI. W700C have a Full feature Smart feature powered by Opera and 4 HDMI ports.

If I were you, I will pick W750D despite W700C packs more feature but the improved panel on W750D is worth considering.

If you happened to come across both models, just take a closer look at the Picture and colour W750D tends to shine better than W700C due to the improved panel.

I have installed KODI on my sony android tv and really enjoy the drama series.
Wondering how could I create/marked a favourite on certain dramas from the KODI by using the remote control, thanks and much appreciated.

The Google Cast receiver on my ol' X85C broke again, i.e. TV has network connectivity, can even use YouTube app natively, but I can't cast from my phone to the TV.

For me I will say YES. I have installed apps(.APK) which were shared on FB, and I can watch VOD and live programs like the Euro 2016, though sometime it hits buffer issue and stopped and needs to exit and run the apps again. Actually, I do not need to get Starhub or Singtel TV anymore. BTW, my sony model is X83C.

C series is 2015 model, this year model designation letter is D. For its asking price, the picture quality and performance are decent, but it is no match for a flagship 4K set in the $3000 range or above, not surprisingly.

A few more specific details about this specific W800C model: its black level is good, but it indeed does not get very bright - this will be important if you tend to watch tv in a brightly lit living room with your lights on. Its 3D performance is also average at best.

The Android TV OS is kind of buggy with little quirks popping up once in a while (like freezes when it is busy applying settings, or random restarts). Some of the smart TV owners actually installed Kodi or any other software video players on their smart tv and watch videos playback straight on the tv (or stream to it). When it comes to streaming/playback, my experience with this set is mostly decent. But when it comes to high bitrate FHD content, the TV struggles to keep up. And the TV runs hot playing back high bitrate content over wifi/from USB stick - the CPU is running almost at full capacity, looks kind of worrying, to be honest. I wish the CPU is faster.

The biggest, most annoying quirk ever encountered, though, is the TV set keeps forgetting the color temperature setting every single time the tv turns on, requiring you to switch from 1 input source to another, before the color temperature setting kicks in. Annoying, and so surprised that this issue isn't mentioned much elsewhere. Still, I guess this is only an issue when you are looking at it long enough and actively checking it, no one ever notice this problem at all until it is pointed out. It could also be an isolated case.

It is definitely one of the decent choices to consider for this price range.

Does anyone know if Sony X940c still available at courts? I can only buy from courts as I have alot of gift cards. I want to grab it but my bto only ready by end of year

Sent from Blackberry Priv using GAGT

Probably u can try to go to the megastore at courts tampines. However u dont want to restrict your purchases on courts for tv. I find best denki pricing is better for high end sony tv.

U have to grab this 75 inch model fast as the current x93D is avaliable in 65 inch only.
