TV need to have two DVB-T2 tuners then can watch 2 channels at the same time and it has 2 tuners. if only 1 DVB-T2 tuner then can only watch 1 ch

But the tv has many inputs.
How to actually activate the PIP feature?

Purchased from best Denki on Thursday, just delivered today. Not bad.

I'm trying to check usage, press display vol down "5" and power but can't seem to open the usage menu. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong? Is the display button just below "7"? The black white box button?

Thanks

I don't think manufacturers are that stupid to give 1 tuner and include PIP feature which is redundant. There are so many source input you can put in like your PS/Xbox, Video players and from Hardisks. The PIP is to allow you to view any of the 2 sources at the same time. This is a very old feature that even CRT TVs had.

Lastly, I have not seen any TVs that are so amazing to have 2 tuners inside.

My old Sony CRT TV has. You can watch 2 channels, one channel on smaller size and sound only thru headset.

Early Sony LCD also has PiP function, but 1 TV channel and 1 other input source only. Eg, 1 TV channel and the other half of the screen on PC output.

Thanks. Must hold for how long? All press together? Tried many times but still can't :/

Not suppose to hold the button.

Make sure tv is off, press the following buttons in sequence

Display (I+)
5
Volume down
Power

TV will turn on and show service mode screen.

The bottom left numbers are the usage hours.

Middle numbers are boot counts.

Numbers on the right are the lcd panel hours.

any owner of KDL-800C guide me on how to use the PIP feature.
when i click the PIP button on remote
"to use this feature, a system software update is required, please refer to reference guide"
I'm using the latest firmware PKG2.311.0010.PAA

From Sony's website, http://www.sony.com.sg/product/kdl-50w800c, under specifications tab.

PIP (Picture In Picture) and PAP (Picture And Picture) functions will be updated within 2015.

I think we have to wait for future system software updates before the button will work.

Have you tried the Wifi speed ? my broadband is only 100MBPs, so it's kind of the same as wired connection.

Finally managed to run some form of SpeedTest on my unit. This is the speed I'm getting on a 1Gbps internet subscription via 802.11ac connection (with a signal strength of 32% as reported by my access point), i.e. sometimes a good 175Mbps, but sometimes a low 94Mbps.:

when I tried with wired connection, as we all know, I con't get anything >100Mbps because this unit's LAN connection is Fast Ethernet only.

Now another question: has anybody successfully managed to join the X8500C onto a 802.11ac channel that has a hidden SSID (means the WLAN isn't being broadcasted)?
