Is this camera good for product shoot ?

Product shoot is all about light and placement. Not so much of your camera. As long as the camera can give u your sharp output and have adequate control of ur aperture and shutter speed.

Of course if u like to command ur external strobe, use a Camera will at less a hot shoe so that u can mount trigger.

If u r not one that knows very well with metering and so forth, then use some smarter setup like Nikon creative lightning system

Anyone knows which camera shop offers more freebies or is it better to get from sony now?

U can try to ask around but from what I know no shop will have any freebies at the moment. Its a new product that is launch just on thursday so don't expect anything much at the moment.

Hey everyone, do check if the viewfinder completely retracts into the body. My camera couldn't and it creates a slight uneven surface. I went to sony and they said it may be a mechanism or spring defect. Just a heads up to those getting!

Understanding the Nikon Creative Lighting System - Tuts+ Photography Tutorial

Using infra-red to communicate between one master and multiple slaves Nikon strobes. The master will be mounted on the camera, or you can use a remote master to coordinate the rest of the slaves. When you release the shutter to activate the flash, all the cameras will fire off quick flashes to meter the scene and then the 2nd round of flashes to light up the scene where the shutter will actually be released. This is Nikon Creative Lighting System.

Because it is using infra-red to communicate between the strobes, hence it will only work best inside a room where either there is direct line of sight for the infra-red rays or bounced off the walls of the room. Outdoor is hard to coordinate depending on how you place your flashes.
