Btw, also noticed that with the demo unit i played with, I noticed i can still see a faint image of the previous menu on the next menu. Like when i switch from clock > bookmarks, i can still faintly see the clock "behind" the bookmark icon. Same goes for switching from bookmarks to clock. Not sure if this may be a flaw in the screen technology, or the demo unit i played with got some manufacturing flaw in the screen :s22:

Not a flaw or I can say the characteristic of E -Ink, if you use the white background then you will not see the faint image. =:p

I also test 2 units from different places. The faint image is part of the e ink technology. I see that only the clock screen is auto refresh. The other modes only refresh after returning to, such as the pedometer. Very tempted as i really like e ink and it is very battery efficient.

But black model goes well with black background :o Eitherway, noticed once the screen refreshes after a minute, the whole thing goes back to normal.

313 Somerset and Bugis has. Think someone also mentioned Sim lim as well. If you're intending to buy, don't go 313.. costs $30 more...

Just bought mine at Bugis today. Tested the call feature with earphone. Too bad it's either you speak through the smartband entirely, or though the phone. Can't just speak through the mic on the smartband and listen through the earpiece :(

Agree with speaking entirely on the smartband talk itself as I am still waiting for the voice command to be available.

It is so cool to operate your phone via smartband talk using voice command, you can check out the video below from Japan.

I tested at Sim Lim and Bedok mall. Like carlover, prefer the red band so probably getting the black edition.

Saw the voice control commercial, I did a bit research, reliase that sony did release voice control for your smartband already, which you could do the same as commercial. Hmm...currently, typing on phone, let me zoom out and find the link for u all, damn sony z2 doesn't allow copy paste url link,....voicecontrol.Sony.net/en/index.html...Remember to choose English, click the smartband link...download, install...you are done....whoooola

Brother, thanks for your info and link. I have just downloaded and installed on my Z3 but the application will crash when I open it.

I try to tap on my smartband talk but it only open the website on my phone.

My experience from using the smartband for 1 day.

The controls for music and radio very unreliable.. Music play/pause works well when headphones are not plugged in for some reasons. But once plugged in headset, the play/pause really intermittent to almost not functioning at all. IIRC the original smartband had the option to skip and rewind tracks by tapping twice or trice, which is a useful feature it's sucessor is missing.

FM radio still bugged i think. Turn on the radio from smartband, the app launches from the phone but because the screen is locked, the radio dosn't start. Once you unlock the phone and the radio starts instantly.

Speaker's good for quiet environment to take short calls. Still wished they'd find a way to make you speak through the phone and listen through ear piece. So when listening to music, no need to take phone out of pocket to answer call. Can just speak through the band.

Only thing working flawlessly for me is the notifications. For whatsapp even the emoticons also show up :s13:
Except if 2 notifications from different apps comes in at once, the band will only show the later one.

The phone I Pair with is a Z3. Hope Sony work out those buggs. This band's got potential to be a pretty good device. :)

Hi, first try to go to your app setting, find the app, clear the cache and data, try reopen..if it doesn't work, clear cache and data, then force stop, uninstall.....download and install again then..

Did you update your z3 to the latest firmware? I hope it has nothing to do with your phone software issue, otherwise have to report your issue to sony support team...

My kit kat version is 4.4.4

Thanks for your help.

Initially, the app keep crashing on my Z3 Dual as I have also tried installing on my Z2 Tablet running 4.4.4, no crash of app.

I decided to troubleshoot further on my Z3 Dual and do a soft reset of my Z3 back to factory default and install the Voice Command, no more crashing and it is working now.

Using the Voice Command, you can ask what time and it will tell you so why you need light? =:p
