With regards to issues, do u side load certain Apps? Some ppl reporting apps don’t work. I have seen them, inside Apps my issue is they don’t show I’m shortcut. That’s general Sony TV not specific to x800h

Other issue is it doesn’t auto inform my AVR on my x900. Not sure if it is my issue or TV issue. 2 levels if tech cannot solve, sending up to last level of tech.

There are many reviews out there for u to judge.

Can check if watching YouTube on Sony tv, how to press NEXT? Seem like the remote control does not has next button, can only fast forward to the end of the song to play the next song

Was offered $1200 for 49 inch X8500H at Best Denki.

Also looking at $900 +$30 delivery for Sharp 50BK1.

Is the $300 premium worth it or just a Sony branding premium for entry level models?

U can check the specs of 2 TV and see if U really paying for brand.

for example
Sony supports Dolby vision, Sharp does not
Sony support atmos, Sharp does not
Sony has 16GB of local storage, Sharp did not state in specs
Sony motion ENHANCER is 100hz, Sharp did not state so assume 50,60hz

even so, if you cannot see/hear the difference then go with Sharp. really depends on your use case.

A very pertinent point.
If you can't see any difference, even the Prism TVs will fit.

Question... The Sony X8500H only have 2 speakers.. does Dolby Atmos make a difference if TV is not gonna be connected to Dolby Atmos capable AVR or soundbar?

Imho, 2 small 10w + 10w speakers is not giving you surround or atmos
It’s more marketing
Soundbar itself already much debate

Anyone having their Sony TVs showing a faint horizontal line, especially obvious when displaying lighter colours? Looks like the line is purplish colour.

I just noticed it recently on my X9000F, and definitely by no means was that due to any impact.
