I have a similar experience when my 75Z9F broke down after barely one month post delivery. Problem is also no picture, only sound.

It took 1 week to schedule a technician visit to validate the issue (what I can do in the trouble-shooting steps provided is not enough to warrant them to initiate the replacement panel order) and it is interesting to note that the check by technician is less than 5 mins.

The panel was eventually replaced about 4 weeks later. In between this period, the Customer Service officers provided a couple of ETAs which were all missed. I had to call them as they failed to provide the updates when they promised to do so.

I got the 3 months warranty extension but that is trifle compared to the absence from work (annual leaves taken) and the loss of use over the CNY period which is a major embarrassment and inconvenience for my family.

Anyway, it was a valuable lesson learnt for my family and relatives to avoid buying Sony TVs in future.

Z9F doesn’t use backlight master drive. U are better off with z9d the older model. TV spoil then spoil, is there a need to be embarrassed. Haha

Actually having no tv to use for 1 month is no joke

Agreed. I did not pay so much to wait till 1 month later before I can fully use it.
By then, there might be the 9.9, 10.10 sales that I can have used or even worst, the TV could have dropped significantly in price during that time.

Thus I paid more, while others pay less but both get to use the TV around the same time period or even earlier than you.

Usually, on the 1st 7 days, if something happens to the TV, any company will Taichi the problem to the seller. Ask you to contact Courts or BD or HN to get an exchange from them instead. But I don't get why Sony asks to wait 1 month instead. Doubt and sellers will entertain your problem pass that 1 week.

I will not tolerate it if I have a TV that is not fully functioning and I can only get help 1 month later. As mentioned, cos I could have gotten the TV for way cheaper during that period of time or knowing that others got to use their TVs that they purchased after you while you sit and wait around. It's frustrating.
What's there to wait for 1 month? So customers cannot exchange TV so they are stuck with the Sony TV forever? A problem is a problem. Get it fixed. If I knew this is how they treat me, I'd rather ask them to upgrade my TV for free for the inconvenience caused.
People go home from work, tired. Want to enjoy time with family or just game. It's just annoying.

No need to elaborate as I totally understand your concern. I think Sony should repair ASAP for you. No spare parts is none of your business. They either give you a new tv or speed up the repair. Delaying is not professional.
