Very keen in getting a duo 11, but the i7 version price is really abit high.... so taking a very long time to consider.. heh.

How is the actual real life battery life? is it really that poor as reviews say?

is the 11" suitable for touch - especially and working through the desktop? or is it preferable to use the pen?

For normal usage like web browsing, clicking around, moving files etc, 11" is more than suitable. I can navigate around comfortably on the 1920x1080 screen.

However if you are doing anything that needs good precision like sketching, ploting lines on charts etc, than you will need the pen or pointing stick/touch pad.

Isn't it too pricey, I mean after 6 months nobody will BUY it, no resale value I believe..

Yea i also think the same, do you know of any alternative to the Vaio Duo that will increase in value after 6 months? Best is a lappy that cost $1000 now and i can sell for $2000 later, many thanks.

Get the Core i5 version - much more worthwhile.
We just reviewed the Core i7 edition since that's what they could arrange for us at the moment:-

Sony Vaio Duo 11 - Blurring the Line Between Tablet and Notebook - HardwareZone.com.sg

Battery life is reasonable - on par with the rest of the competition.

But treat it as a Win 8 tablet with keyboard rather than the other way around. Otherwise, you'll be dissappointed.

At the moment, it's priced the same as most other top-tier convertible notebooks. You pay for what you get and when you want - simple.

At the end of the day, you should also calculate if it's worthwhile to get something when it's new or when it has become old? Sometimes it makes sense to wait, sometimes not - it depends on the level of need for each person.

Thanks just collected the i7, I got a free folio case and screen protector, I got from the same shop. I told the sales guy that Malaysia giving the stylus and case as freebies. He then added for me. You may want to go claim yours since so many go to their shop after based on your referral.

Now got to figure out what to do with my xps 12 pending delivery haha

Hi! Can you PM me the shop? Thanks!
