Wa that means you really quite sensitive to high freqs.. Would be expecting tf10 to sound more intrusive too like that. Not sure if the potential shrill of the ex1000 will bother you or not, but yeah do give it a try if you have the chance to. Scarly try already next day wts h3

Maybe my ear canals are small, that 4-8K just jumping and echoing vigorously in my ears
Once EQed down, it sounds less congested and to me it kind of give a sense of wider soundstage. I do like to hear high freqs note, indeed increasing about +7dB on freq above 12KHz push the live effect on most of my music collections....

Where did you get your ex1000? amazon jp selling it at about 550+ sgd... my wallet is whining

All in all, if your library consists of a lot of female vocals, you must listen to the EX1000 at least once in your audio journey.

Hhmmm... that means MDR-EX1000 got promotion?
You may try other branch, bugis junctions etc. Show like-wan-to-buy-but-hold-off-by-the-price attitude, usually the sales are willing to give discount. Works for me most of the time. YMMV

just got this earphone... I thought that due to the shape and size, it would feel clunky and uncomfortable... surprisingly that's not the case...

I fell in love with sony earphones with the E888 model more than a decade ago, and this earphones gives me the same feeling all over again <3
