Poor sales that Telco ditched Sony phones even today.
Most would prefer to get Sammy or Apple phones than Sony.
I'm still have Sony XZ1 many years but this was brought
without any contract at Sony store.

XZ1 is still going strong alongside my Xperia 5.
The only sad thing about my Xperia 5 is the screen a lot of scratches.
Even though I got use the Style cover view but still scratch easily.

Sony wanted to offer to telco, telco didn't want..

in the end this happened.. but they made a mistake. now sony come back alone coz telco still don't want them..

infact, telco these days no more Huawei, Xiaomi, lg etc..

its just apple or Samsung. f-ed up

You can still get a Huawei and Xiaomi right out of Singtel and Starhub now. So i don't know why you say telcos these days no more Huawei and Xiaomi.

LG case is diff. Their mobile division future is still unknown that's why they are not dealing locally with our telcos.

I am on M1. I went to the shop 2 months ago.. really just those 2 I mentioned. Didnt see xiaomi. Huawei was the old google supported versions.

Other than that was really full of different models of samsung and apple..

jokes aside, telcos are really the best way to get your phone out to the masses.. Not many are willing to pay 1.4k for a phone

I think the perception of battery capacity had been twisted by some other brands, some people get the misconception that android phone needs bigger battery with little to no experience with Xperia phones.
