weird question: What's the best way to preserve battery longevity when watching 3hr(if not more) 4k movies? Plug in and turn on battery saver at 80%? 😅

Game mode has this feature where u can play games through direct charger connection bypassing the battery for power. Wonder if can add the app to run in gaming mode, then should be able to watch videos through direct source as well without killing battery cycles

Yea, I had considered that. But game mode can't run concurrent with Creator mode where 4k is activated though.
on a side note, starting to like the color rendition of movies viewed in creator mode. even though my eyes may not be able to differentiate 4k content on this screen size 🙃

Anyone has issue unlocking the phone? Like just swiping up to unlock phone? Sometimes it seems like its lagging ? or it has to do with the casing Sony provided?

Even the double tap of screen is not functioning also at times.

I disabled double tap. It caused my phone to keep turning on in my shirt pocket and pressing random things even with prevent accidental operations on, then after a while start to get ghost taps and lag. Got one time even started overheating and battery drain where Android os took up most of the battery consumption. Turn off then no problem.

Was informed by 313 Sony staff... Apparently should remove the "Allow 2G" setting as this is not needed and can remove unnecessary heat.

I already disabled that right from the start. No point having it enabled in SG coz we don't have 2g and unnecessarily searching for a non existent 2g network will waste battery

2G is not needed, that's for sure.
Disabling 5G is also good since it drains more battery than 4G+3G, mainly due to 5G NSA using 4G infrastructure. Essentially the phone is connected to two kinds of network at same time.
5G SA does not drain as much but wait for donkey years till all telcos switch to permanent 5G SA.

On my phone the option is greyed out and activated permanently.

"SGP-M1 requires 2G to be available." :cautious:

Eh nowadays I receive quite a lot of 5g leh. Around 40% so it's not bad . Plus my battery life still good so to me it's good to leave it.

I disabled double tap though.
