Hope the next iteration "give people what they truely want" in a Sony given it's illustrious history of smartphones... and that the volume in sales reflect it o_O:geek:

Total solve sunlight legibility with new technology is best. See everything under harsh sunlight while consuming not much battery life will be the best.

To add on all their 4k displays don't have the battery saving display tech so a lot of people might think 4k display drain battery

The fact is because they haven't try it yet, there is never LTPO 4k display smartphone in the market so far

Hope that they can bring back 4k display with their new display tech so that battery won't drain so much even with 4k display

Plus the latest Snapdragon white paper say they now support 4k 120fps for the first time so they can leverage it

I wonder when they gonna exit the market.. 2 mil units market share a bit hard to survive in the premium segment...

Sony does not give official sales figures but online some sources estimated around 400k units were sold in 2025

( largely because of the 1vii manufacturing issue and the sales halt that followed )

Hope 1viii will turn things around.

Prefer that it sticks to it's original Sony design and not copy the fruit o_O, thought fans buying Sony care more of acutal specs & performance than imitative looks.
Perhaps designed to accomodate the bigger telephoto lens. And again, I trust Sony to bring out nice attractive design for their flagship.

I saw flight videos via youtube, they usually show wordings on video (not captions) which state all the menu served in flight

I see no problem on my mark V without a need to pinch to zoom in and see the menu

But the newer models I don't know got this problem

I can go back to 313 to see and hope the wordings will be equally clear on mark VI and beyond

As long they give me 12/512 in SG + never lose any more features, I happy liao

I really cannot see any other competitor fitting with my use case
