Both display fine with me but hope sunlight legibility gets at least 50 percent better so can see better when taking pictures or view display under strong sun.

I think it is fine that way. Phone that would cost lesser normally comes with compromises such as smaller display, battery and/or storage.

If the battery size matches the bigger sibling that is higher priced, something else is going to be lower to offset the costs.

It was split since the last Generation.

Thank goodness they made it raised now. The current ones on the Xperia 1 and 5 are depressed and sometimes does not sense the fingerprint

Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II both are integrated right? So expecting 5 II to be the same as well.

Yep. Both integrated and raised. I think they got a lot of flak for separating and depressing it om the Xperia 10/5/1 Mk1. The original implementation in the XZ1 series was perfect already so I don't know why they decided to mess with it in the XZ2 and XZ3. Then do this weird depressed one in the Xperia 10/5/1 Mk1

But this Sony. They like to do weird sh!t

Someone spotted 198GB free storage on the leaked marketing photo. Maybe got chance of 256GB storage. Some speculating that the 128GB is for Japan market, just like how they got smaller storage capacity for the 1ii as well.
