Cuious, is it possible to do full transfer of apps and data from one Android to another Android for Sony? Pixel had this function where you can use the cable to transfer from old phone to Pixel with everything moved over, including all your Google accounts and apps

So far I tried restore from Drive backup but not all apps and accounts migrated over

Any idea the advantage this Sony Xperia 5 MK II has over say a Poco F2 PRO phone? They both have snapdragon 865, OLED Display etc.. The Poco F2 PRO is more than 50% cheaper. I'm trying to justify paying above 1K for this phone.

Photography wise, both x5 ii and s20 fe are quite similar. X5 ii tends to blow out the highlights while s20 fe preserves the highlights.

Usage wise, I feel Samsung One UI is more polished and has better effort to integrate the apps and system.

I tried transferring from a Samsung phone using xperia transfer 2 app. The apps were not transferred over. Only call logs and SMS and multimedia files.

The f2 pro has a single speaker, the stereo speakers on the x5 ii is much better in sound quality. MIUI is also quite buggy. The f2 pro is also very heavy. I think the choice would come down to if you want a compact or a bigger phone.

Were the photos on the 5II using the standard camera app or the photo pro mode?
Any positives of the 5II over the FE?

Using the standard camera app.

Pros is if you like smaller sizes phone, 5 ii is good, much more comfortable for one handed usage. The speakers I find are also better than s20fe. And 5 ii also no cut outs on the screen, so full screen videos and games look better.

ALL of xiaomi phones cannot manage their ram even though they brag 12gb. In speed test and ram management they ALWAYS restart applications. So it seems that the company only pump and specifications and not software optimization.

You can see his all other speed and ram test. All the different xiaomi phones all restart applications.

All Samsung flagship phones in Singapore as using exynos processor instead of snapdragon version, which means you are paying flagship prices for a worse SOC .

For more information, Google exynos vs snapdragon and you will see why.

The FE is the only one that uses Snapdragon in Singapore as far as I know which is why I had been considering it. The battery life on my Samsung S10 has been really frustrating so have been put off Exynos...
But I wasn't a fan the form factor and feel of the FE when I tried using it in store which is why I haven't got it yet.

Time to review/change the passwords :s13:
sian ji pua, I have a few old accounts from my younger years which I still keep for gaming and social media. Now have to manually reset one by one

I thought new Android versions can allow seamless transfer of apps and accounts but seems like only Pixel has this feature. No wonder people say iCloud backup and restore is still better

So the transfer is not seamless like how the pixel phones are?

What are not been transferred?

Google Accounts

Basically, when I transferred to Pixel via USB-C, it managed to transfer my google accounts without having to log in again. Now I have to manually reset and log in again.

It's the same for iCloud when I did for my father's iPhone. iCloud backup and restore all apps and google accounts without having to log in again
