It's an annoying defect and not really something that I can ignore given I literally have to look at it when I'm using the phone.
Plus it's not really something I should have to put up with as this isn't a budget phone by any means.

Maybe bring back to Sony and see what they say?

Got any settings within the phone to limit fast charge back to regular charging speed? I know can just use the charger that comes with the phone, but I like the idea of using just 1 charger. Using my Lenovo laptop charger for any USB C compatible device. Been charging like that with my last XZ also.

x5ii is my first phone quick charge. But when charge with the Lenovo charger, the phone gets very warm, so getting a bit concerned.

Very nice and bright! Was this taken handheld or on tripod?

Glad to see that finally Sony phones can take bright night shots

Taken handheld. Sony improved their night shot as compared to the previous gen xperia 5.

You try use photo pro go program mode. Turn on auto HDR. Thats their handheld night shot. But shutter speed can go 1/4 seconds. And use the 25mm (MVP sensor with largest aperture and sensor)

Thanks. I tried and the result looks soft and noisy also. I find using the normal camera app and increasing the exposure is better.

went to bugis and feel the 5ii and wow... it's so light as compared to flagships these days. the screen is of course 'much' smaller and my only concern is if it'll strain the eyes especially for older folks (due to the high res screen).

the camera seems pretty decent.

i tot the pro cam app is supposed to bring out the best of the camera as compared to the standard app. could it be due to the manual settings that need to be set right? since i'm very much into photos i was thinking if this could be my next phone to finally learn all the proper manual settings for photography.

It's a good compact phone. Personally the screen is sharp enough due to the higher ppi density, so text actually appears sharper than a bigger screen with the same resolution. Carrying the x5 ii is such a joy and relief after carrying big phones.

The picture quality is good, shadows are shadows and light is light. Unlike some other phones which use computational photography to boost everything. So depends on your taste. For manual photography, the phone has a fixed aperture so it's not really manual per se since the aperture can't be adjusted.

Today's been my first proper day of using it and have to say I've really liked the change from my S10.
Have quickly gotten used to and appreciate the narrower form factor, camera is pretty good and I've started to really like the side sense bar after doing a bit of tweaking.
Plus the battery has been excellent.

One thing I noticed is that AAC codec bluetooth streaming has very poor quality. The top end sound very compressed and swishy. Have to switch to SBC which gives a much better sound quality. Hope Sony fixes it in the next firmware updates.

Even under focusing on music quality?
