Yes, but haven't fully switch over as my main phone as my screen protector and stuff have yet to arrive. I have the black (safe color) and looks good. If you want to stand out probably other colors will work better. Phone feels very smooth with the 120hz refresh rate. Feels really good on hand, easier one handed operation due to the aspect ratio. Still trying out the photo pro mode, the normal camera app takes better picture than my sub standard knowledge on manual settings. Don't need the front camera, so no comments. Battery can last me the whole day.

Some cons i noticed, external sd card speed is somehow limited to around 35mbps. Volte is not working still. There's no face unlock feature (read online they follow stock Android 10).

Technically, it's not 1.4k, there's the bundled headphones and like some said shopping center vouchers. So more like 1.1k. And if you compare that to OnePlus 8T, similar specs, which costs $900(from shoppee OnePlus store), it's only $200 more for a more premium build.

Where got shopping voucher one?

My Xperia 1ii was messaging with extra notifications of instagram and twitter, surfing internet for around an hour and watching YouTube for about an hour, listening to music with Bluetooth with earbuds. Reach home left around 35 percent left since morning around 8. That was on average brightness (around center)

Just to let you guys know... The front camera sensor is from Samsung Exocell... Ditto for the 70mm one. Total same setup as xperia 1II. Quite sad when people said that selfie camera potato coming from Sony which is camera experts haha ~

The MVP sensor is the 24mm f1.7 sensor. So utilize it if possible.

If I'm not wrong next year flagship all cameras will utilize their own sensors.

Samsung sensor or Samsung cam module?

How do you find the screen brightness?
I read some reviews saying that it's not the brightest screen.
Good enough to get by?

So which screen protector/case have you ordered? I own a Xperia 5 now and the screen protector (tempered glass) has the black edge that covers a bit of the screen, it's kinda annoying. Hopefully those SP for 5ii won't have this design problem.

Some no brand protector from aliexpress. Will be hard to find any that don't cover the edge slightly unless it's not full screen type.

:(:(:(

i went to bugis and was shocked only dummy for 5 ii is there. Shouldn't there be a working set if they'd like people to pre-order?

nevertheless, it was the 1st time I've seen a 1 ii working set. Feels like I came down from the mountain. :s13: Indeed the feels in the palm is as good as it comes.

Brightness is good enough. Whats to improve is sunlight legibility. There's difference.

Need better sunlight legibility for camera application. You need more details and when under really bright sun, some details really cannot be properly seen to compose properly.

Otherwise under sun its legible if you set to around 3/4 of maximum brightness.

Coming from xperia 1II experience, which the display should be identical, with reference from gsmarena.

Why would you consider the 8t? For me, deal breaker already because got punch hole, no 3.5mm, no SD card slot, no notification LED.

But coming from Xperia 1 ii, can say the battery is great. My conservative usage can last 2 whole day. 5ii's battery will be better.

Camera wise, had some impressive shots, it's able to capture the colors well. Depth of field/bokeh shots are great as well. Good point and shoot but if you wanna get the full capability, need to play around with the pro app. If you want certain artistic shots, definitely need to tinker around with manual abit, I believe no point and shoot cameras can give you that perfect artistic shot. Example, you can have 2 same scenes, but shoot it in a very different way, with different focus areas and lighting.

Front facing speaker is really great, sound quality is alot better than side facing ones.

You can go feel a dummy set to get a sensing of the build quality. The X1ii feels great in my hands. Sometimes I will take it out of my casing because it feels really great without it
=:p

One downside I see for this phone is the google assistant button, but I think put case over it can liao.

One would be price.. Diff bout few hundreds. Ya can say sell the headphone but Not count this way la... Lol

Then charging is fast for 8t... 4500 in 40mins?
For 5ii should be 1hr plus?

Ya 3.5mm jack is gd but usually use Bluetooth unless forgot to bring then will use spare plug earphone

SD card slot I dun use cos need to aim trays unless u tell me got a 3rd tray for ad card

8t no notification light?

Also not sure if Sony iu n update is to my liking but I know 1 plus cos previously had 2 phones and updates has been coming for a few yrs and on time. Unlike Samsung Dec come updates for oct if u r lucky.

But i read 8t speaker louder and scfeen brighter....

But of cos cam on 5ii win 8t

From your reply, you are probably leaning towards 8t. Both are good phones, get what you feel is justifiable.

I can vouch for battery life.. if stay home with wifi only, and not much usage, 2 days no problem. if not 1 full day.
