I am seeing 313 already selling casing for the Xperia 1 IV, quite fast imo

And yes, I got play a bit with demo set, feels warm after a while just like III demo set but then again this kind of thing much more accurate to tell when used in real world rather than demo unit

Also, I realised that they locked down the Settings for the demo unit this time :ROFLMAO:

Btw I put in my singtel 5G SIM, even after reboot (demo set) still 4G :(
You put your SIM card in the demo set? 😨
The demo unit may have a different set of firmware from retail unit, so it could be a reason why 5G didn't work.

Can buy from Lazada today, there's Lazada bonus discount 🙂

No screen protector man, it's literally just the phone, not even wrapped in plastic.

Box actually says "No plastic in packaging" :cautious:

Anyone knows any shops besides Sony that have cases and screen protectors in stock already? I ordered a Devilcase that is still on the way, don't dare to use the phone naked until I can get some cheap protection now to tahan in the meantime. Physical shops preferred so I don't need to wait for delivery lol.

I had high hopes from reading all the rave reviews online, so I happily went down to Sony store to hands on but came back feeling abit disappointed :(

Coming from the Pro-I, the build quality while is still very solid, felt abit underwhelming in comparison for me personally. Most notably the shutter button is now smaller on the mark 4. On the more positive note, phone does not feel like a heavy brick now.

But most importantly, I was eager to test out the video recording to see if it had the same overheating issues as the Pro-I and unfortunately, even under the Aircon environment, 4k 120fps recording lasted approx 5 minutes before the app shutsdown. I remember having a hard time shooting outdoors during the day with the Pro-I constantly overheating and my gut tells me it's going to be a similar experience with the mark 4.

So if you are a heavy video shooter, you may want to take note of this before deciding. I really wanted to give Sony another go but this is sadly making me reconsider. A tiny part of me wished they did something/improved the internal cooling.

Haha for 4k video shooting none of the phones solve heating issue. Especially this disappointing snapdragon made by Samsung which Sony surely tried to tame it. Anyway Taiwan reviewers said there's a new firmware out already likely trying to tame the heat.
For more information on which is the main culprit for the heater processor watch this :

Its just missing an active cooler inside  Joking aside, yeah I agree, the SoC in mark 4 probably added more fuel to the fire. But apart from that, I'm seriously impressed by what Sony has done in the other departments. Decisions...
