For those who know how to use ADB shell, can use the command to disable the overheat force close issue and locked at 120hz even when overheat.

adb shell pm disable-user com.sonyericsson.psm.sysmonservice
Please share more about this, I hardly zhng anything as an Android user.

Took photos! Wanted to post but saw this video which improves the image blur of the 1IV ~ guess I gotta take again

Anybody can really translate which to delete to remove the blur? Isit to clear the storage?

One more thing. I turned on both cameras and looked at the display. The display on the xperia1IV looked way more colorful and vibrant than the xperia 1III! πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

Interesting fix! Yes clear storage is the fix, but my question would be, does clearing storage once fix the camera permanently or do I have to do it every time i restart my phone?

It seems like they forgot to remove some programming / algorithms during pre production launch. And once you delete it away it will be totally gone until a new firmware update to improve even further? πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜† (crosses many fingers)

Initial impressions of low-light photography, very underwhelming.

High ISO is needed which makes the photos grainy and even muddy, not sure if this was the case on 1iii as well? I'll do more tests before posting samples here, but as a photographer so far I'm surprised that I have not been impressed yet (daytime photos are great).

It is the case for all Xperia. They usually shoot what your eyes see and not make dark areas look like day time. IAW it behaves exactly like a camera. You want better low light handheld I suggest you use only the 24mm sensor (the MVP IMX 557 sensor) and enable HDR. Then keep it still because will go as low as 1/4 seconds.

If not, go long exposure and mount on sturdy stand /tripod like what cameraman shoot and not relying on computational photography (again how a camera behave )

Or shoot raw and edit (which I'm not inclined to usually )

Lol I know the difference between the computational photography phones and the Xperia system, that's why I bought it in the first place. I'm referring to photos shot in indoor places, like bars, there's a limit to the low shutter speed for handheld shots that one can practically handle and I'm surprised the ISO quality is not as good as I would have thought. I even tried a photo in an MRT station and it was surprisingly sub-par too. The ceiling was all muddy and nothing was sharp.

I'm just saying, for my initial impressions, given the technology that they are championing, I was expecting a bit more, especially if I'm hoping to not rely on my Fuji camera for some of my shooting. I know it's impossible to do a 1:1 comparison with my camera, but I was expecting maybe 70% on par for regular shooting? Will play around more.

Yeah thats why I suggest you to use the MVP sensor (24mm) if you able to. Even for macro shooting I'm using it and turning on AI Super resolution because its the lens that can focus on 10 cm away compared to 85mm lens (around 40 cm away)

Anywhere selling without the speakers???
Now the new promo is phone bundled with WF-1000XM4 earbuds and case.

Hmmm if given the choice, I probably would have chosen this instead of the pre order speaker, cause I ended up spending an additional $49 on the case πŸ˜…

And the case isn’t drop proof unlike those spigen cases. I notice the screen is higher than the edge of case, so if I drop the phone, the screen will hit floor first. Anyone know how drop proof this phone is?

I was considering this since Xperia 5 iv doesn't seem to be coming. Then I realised there's pro ii or something coming out

Sony super likely wont come out with plus series chipset. For so many generations already. None is the plus version beside Sony Ericsson Arco . So this year pro series (if they announce) will also very likely use snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

BTW my phone seem to stable a bit. Not that hot when taking pictures as well as autofocus seem more sturdy. Or isit I deleted the storage of the photo pro application which tamed it? (See the YouTube video link I posted above)

Battery life is superb too! Longer than my xperia 1III by about 10-15%. Now I'm still using it without charge. Left 40% from around 7.30 till now with little below average use (gaming and YouTube and listening to music connected to wf1000xm4 plus a few phone calls ). If probably after around 2 weeks the battery should be even more stable to add another around say 5 % more endurance. Nice!

Erm not really. I skip the 512 gb since it has micro SD slot.
I just want the white and the link buds instead of the speakers...
Plus the price is cheaper, only warranty is in hk not sg..

I feel so cheated now bloody hell. What's the point of pre-ordering and getting a shitty free gift when the earbuds are a much better freebie.
