Hey, thanks. Good to hear that the double tap is working well after the software update.

Flashed the India 6.0.1 firmware, then updated to Nougat via PC Companion. So far so good. The new notifications are quite nice, so is the multi screen function. :)

I'm thinking of getting the Style Cover Touch SCTF10. For those who use it, may I ask how you find it? Does the flap close easily or does it tend to get lose? Is it it difficult to take pictures, especially in landscape mode? How easy is it to remove (eg. if you wanna change SIM)?

Also, how do I use the 15% off code I got through Xperia Lounge? If I choose to go to the store, am I supposed to show them my code on my phone?

Appreciate any replies :)

I'm using this cover, and I think it's nice.
The front cover is just like any other flip cover, it won't open easily when the phone is lying flat. It doesn't have any magnet or flap to keep it closed when you are holding it.
The cover is quite thick, so it offers good protection for the screen.
The screen is quite blur when the cover is closed.
It's not advisable to type when it's closed, because you have to press harder to get a response, and accuracy of your finger is affected because of the thickness.

Taking pictures in landscape mode is actually easier with this cover, as it makes the phone easier to grip, and the camera button is easier to press.
The cover is made of a very nice soft touch material which doesn't attract fingerprints, but maybe some micro dust in your pants pocket will stick to the sides.

The cover is very easy to remove, as it only grips the phone at the left and right sides, so changing SIM cards shouldn't be a problem.

You can get the 15% discount as long as you have a Sony phone with you, I think, since the salesperson I spoke to just gave the discount after seeing my phone.

Hope this review helps!

Did you observe any changes in the photo quality with the new update? Especially the at the pixel level with its over sharpening "feature".

Perhaps someone else can answer that question. I don't take many photos, and don't really delve into details such as photo sharpening.

can we use same model but other country firmware?

Yes, you can. But note that Flashtool don't support Nougat firmwares yet, so you need to flash the Marshmallow firmware and then update via OTA or PC Companion.

former user of Z5 to XZ. Does anyone noticed that XZ loads slower when you are to take a camera shot when the phone is processing the image? As well as loading of app.

Unlocking the bootloader will void your warranty, that's for sure. Flashing another country's stock firmware doesn't need the bootloader to be unlocked, but it still constitutes modifying the supplied phone software and you may be rejected if the service centre finds that it is not the Singapore firmware. But of course, you can always try to flash the phone back to Singapore firmware before sending it in for repair / servicing.

Any country's firmware will work, as long as the model is the same. Our dual-sim XZ model is F8332. For me, I flashed to the India firmware, only because I could easily find the 6.0.1 firmware online and it can be upgraded to Nougat. But the India firmware did come with 3 games that cannot be uninstalled and can only be disabled.
