Any small footprint 2.0 speaker under $100 to recommend? Use for listening to music and watch shows. Looking for reasonable clarity, no need for crazy amounts of bass.

Hi,

I have Creative T3, Klipsch GMA 2.1 , Bose Companion 3, Bose Companion 5 , as well as Razor Mako.

So far from my rating from top to bottom.

1) Razor Mako (All rounded.. Treble and bass are well balance)( Speaker can blast at high volume 85% out of the 100% volume control)

2) Creative T3 (Treble is sharp, Bass not as bossy)(Speaker can blast up till 70% +/- out of 100%)

3) Klipsch GMA 2.1 (Treble still ok, Bass not very well balance, Sound sound/song are good in control, some aren't) (Speaker can blast up till 70% +/- out of 100%)

4) Bose Companion 5 (No Sound card required)(Only USB Connection, no 3.5mm jack unless u plug in through the Volume Controller)(Bass not easy to tune, Treble is good, surround and treble are clear)(Speaker Can Blast up till 70% to 75% +/- out of 100%)

5) Bose Companion 3 (Speaker don't build in Tweeter so don't expect the Sharp Sharp sound to be heard (you can change your the speaker to your own speaker as long it's 4ohms, Basically treble not very good and bass not easy to tune)(Speaker can blast up till 70% +/- out of 100%)


I leave the Altec Lansing out because i felt that their sound system are getting from bad to worst. So do the rest of the Brand.. Now a day in Singapore Market very hard to find High-end 2.1 sound system.

Can anyone recommed a good 2.1 speakers(mainly for games & movies) budget about $150 for speakers only.

and soundcard which is better creative or ASUS Xonar see alot people recommend xonar, upcoming it show in late nov will offer better price??

Just to check, for the iphone dock speakers....

If we use it like a cd player or radio player, and keep the phone docked in for like 3 to 4 hrs a day( maybe full day on weekends), Will it shorten the life of the iphone?

Otherwise, maybe buy a second ipod cheap, to use instead of the iphone...

Can anyone help to advise?

anyone has the Altec Lansing VS2621? read some reviews online and seems like it's quite a good entry level speaker that cost around $69..

and oh, and the Swans M10 too. read a thread about it as well

I have a pair of Swans m10. Bought 2mths ago and used. Good condition. Will let go at 70sgd as I'm thinking of doing some custom setup for my speakers.

Should I change my 4 years old AE Aego M 2.1 speaker which is still working fine for Bose?

best value 2.1 speaker?

I have searching quite a bit online, and i find that klipsch promedia, although highly rated, seems to be highly overpriced in Sg compared to other countries. Is it worth it then, or should i go for other options like the corsair sp2500 or swans m50w.

Also, how will these speakers compare to logitech z623 and creative t3, which is about $100 lower.

And lastly, the cheapest 2.1 so far with good ratings is the swans m10. Can anyone help me decide which one should i get!? I use the speakers mainly for games and movies (about 70%), so good bass is will be great, and 30% music.
