Stumbled onto this thread while searching online for a recent 'encounter' that happened thjs week.

I have stayed in one of the Springleaf condo for about 2 years. This area is pretty unknown to most people unless you been to Nee Soon camp or searching for condo in this area.

So.. I was driving back home that day, with my wife and kid seated at the back. As we drove past the school, I heard a 'ji ki' sound, typical sound from a phone taking photo. Instinctively, i asked my wife whether she just took a photo? She said no, and claimed that she heard a photo taking sound. Since I was driving, i just brushed it off citing that my kid might have accidentally triggered the camera on her phone.

Upon reaching home, we checked our phones and none of them has any photo/screenshot taken. Also, we did not enable any photo taking sound on our phones. The other possibility that we can think of, could be the sound coming from the song that was playing in the car - one of Jay chou' song. We replayed it but could not find the same clicking sound...

Anyone encountered such similar before?

yes I encountered something like this before.
I was taking a lift alone.
Then someone said "Hello" into my ear.

I know there isn't anyone but still instinctively turned my head to look.
My hair all stand and quickly pressed the lift for the next floor.

I kept saying sorry to come into its space and once the door opened, I ran out.

Yes, weird random sound like someone typing on keyboard when working alone late in office. Worst encounter is during primary school 2, I left water bottle in table tennis room which has the scariest corridor (L shape therefore no sunlight or view from outside). Went back at 7:15pm for my bottle and froze outside the room coz no lights but could hear loud ping pong ball sounds, when I pushed open the door, sound stopped. Closed my eyes and dashed to the far corner to pick my bottle and u turned back.. IPPT Shuttle run skills important .. they removed that and pull-ups.. haha

Spring leaf camp still around? Last time NCC go there for tae kwan do lesson. I remember got a abandoned kampong in a forest track got vancant houses. During my NS days, I overheard my encik told my young PC to remind us to pray first before peeing at Marsiling hill. He said last time was a kampong so got pple pray deities. They might still be there. But i nv hear anything from PC cos he dont believe.

It used to be Thomson secondary during the 50s. And my dad studied there. Later changed to seletar Institution (3 years education for those who couldn get into JC but wanted to sit for Alevel). My cousin used to have 3rd eye too. But he went Thailand temple to shut the eye as he always had " dirty things" kept followed him. He did said day time do have spirits

Not trying to be skeptical but when a car is running, there are so many mechanical parts moving. Could also be a metal debris on the road hitting the underside of the car. When transmitted into the cabin, the sound gets altered and our brain tries to make sense of the unexpected sound in the cabin by interpreting it to the nearest sound we are familiar with.
