Anyone using Stashaway to invest SRS?

Yep i did. overall good experience. However their moderate portfolio has a heavy allocation towards US bonds and convertibles which i don’t like.
Risk index 36% is fine if you agree with their high allocation towards China Tech and Gold at this point. But yea it’s high risk though.. alternatively invest a% into risk index 36% and the rest into Singapore fixed income or reits to diversify your risk. (just my personal opinion)

This is really irrelevant. Still got several years till age 62. Whats important is put your srs to work. For me endowus is my preferred option and will just continue to dca to it

Why do you prefer endowus?

Fixed AA (80/20 for me)
0.4% access fee (overall 0.8x%)
Sgd-hedged bonds
Hihi.. May I know if there are still any life annuity that I can buy for my SRS so that it can stretch beyond the 10 year withdrawal mark?

I've consulted my financial planner and they say there are currently none in the market. Is it true?

Thanks everyone. Really enjoyed reading this thread.

In the beginning of 2020, I invested 80% of my first SRS contribution into Lion Global All Seasons (Growth) through FSM and the rest into a fund Franklin Biotechnology Discovery Fund Class A (Acc) SGD through DBS and got overall return of about 15% in the end of Dec 2019. Now I am cashed out all the investment and the money is sitting back in my DBS SRS account with my 2nd year SRS contribution totalling $33k

I am considering to go with INFINITY GLOBAL STOCK INDEX SGD fund.

Question 1:
I know FSM has a quarterly platform fees hence I will not hold the fund in FSM. But should I purchase this fund in FSM and then transfer to DollarDex that doesn’t charge a platform fees?

There is no restriction on the number of brokers you can link to your SRS account. You can link DollarDex to your SRS account and buy the fund directly.

Question 2:
Is it possible to RSP this fund in order to hedge the risk or it’s better off to purchase the fund at one go? If RSP, which broker or fund platform should I go with?

Your choice. DollarDex does allow you to RSP every month.

I used Stashaway for SRS.

Funds deposited:

1) On 7 Dec 2020 YTD Returns 17.16% (30% risk)
2) On 31 Dec 2020 YTD Returns 4.06% (36% risk)

Fund deposited
19 Jun 2020 YTD Returns SGD (36% Risk)
TWRR - 28.44%
MWRR - 41.25%
Capital Gain - 19.60%

Just deposited $10K SRS fund into StashAway Income (12% risk) portfolio for a trial as there is promotion for 6 mths admin fee waived for min $10K deposit.

If now I move half deposit into a higher risk General Investing Core (26% risk) portfolio to be more "balanced", will be there a loss or any fee charged?

Hi everyone

What's the main pros/cons for investing SRS monies into the Lion Global All Seasons (Growth) fund? Any alternatives and/or how does it compare to say, using a roboadvisor like Endowus or Stashaway to invest the same funds instead?

Finally, what is the best way / most cost-efficient way to buy into the fund?

Planning to invest and hold whatever investment for the very long-term - investment horizon 20+ years, etc.

Thanks!

Use POEMS to buy. No sales charge and no platform fee.

For ur 1st question, cannot compare cos all 3 buy different funds.

Best to wait in case there's a delay in crediting the proceeds

A question for those who are both invested in SRS & Investments using Cash...

I am already invested into the 3 fund portfolio using cash via DCA. Money is pooled together with my wife on this joint investment account.

If we choose to use the cash to invest under SRS instead, technically we will be creating 2 more separate portfolios, which in turn would make me lose out on the compounding effect on our current investment if we continue to DCA there.

Based on online calculators, the difference is huge at age 62 when I compare 3 stock portfolios vs 1 main stock portfolio.

Thus as much as I would love paying less taxes, I wonder what you guys logic on this one is.

You are investing your SRS monies right? How would that lose out on compounding?
