one mistake LTA made was to allow outside workshop to install OBU.... and what those workshop did was mess up the wiring and electronics of the vehicle, especially those cars that are still under car manufacturer warranty.
AD can reject warranty claim for whatever mess outside workshop did and then everyone make big big hoohaa.

That is prolly why LTA say go find workshop yourselves. they dun wanna kenna this type of issues.

but no choice, 1 million cars in just a few years, ADs alone cannot handle la. that's why get outside workshop to help.

Best is to have the obu installed at AD imo
Under warranty no need think, must do at AD

Ya really quite disgusting. LTA scholars benefit from good bonus and comfy jobs working on erp 2.0 for almost 10 years but dun want to admit their abysmal failure.

Some owners install in car entertainment, alarm, lights etc and messed up the wirings.
Not really messed up wiring; dun expect jhk to adhere to structured wiring; to them anything goes and no consideration to power consumption

The biggest failure is system haven't ready, haven't up... they already produce the IUs, so now LL must push for deployment. Else all the stock in warehouse cannot do anything.

Post again in this ERP 2.0 OBU related thread for awareness...
Just to share my experience, Installed mine on 30 June at Vicom. 1.5 years old battery died on 7 July. Vehicle cannot start need to call 24hrs roadside assistance to jump start. Drive to workshop and was told to change a new battery and pay for diagnostic to reset "Christmas lights" on dashboard. I was worried and went back Vicom on 11 July to check. IU inspection technician found out that the previous Vicom installer had just connected the OBU wiring onto my dashcam power wire. IU inspection technician removes all the wrong wirings and reconnects the OBU to the vehicle fuse box directly. An incident report was filed to LTA. Write in to LTA to seek for compensation for time and monetary loss. After numerous escalations to LTA ERP 2.0 Call Assist Service, spoken to 5 different CSO over a period of 40 days, LTA investigating officer is still investigating this case. It was clearly the Vicom installer was not trained and equipped with the basic knowledge to do a proper OBU installation. I'm just trying my luck for LTA reply. I'm more concerned the number of vehicles that were wired wrongly that may cause the vehicle battery to become flat, or worst electrical short that cause the vehicle to catch fire.
