The new TnC seems to apply only to new PP and renewal PP. No effect on existing customers whose PBVI PP has not expired and not due for renewal.

I like the new terms better actually.

I think for both new and existing .

Seems that 1 year is up for me this month.. not sure how it's going to work, are they going to give me a call to ask if I'd like to renew or just charge the annual fee directly?

I got a pretty good deal when I signed up last year - 35000 miles + $100 uber credits, not sure if I'd renew again if there isn't a similar deal..

Possible if you spent enough.

Of course they’ll just auto-renew and charge you.

You can call in to ask for a deal which they’ll consider depending on how important your banking relationship is to them.
I got nought and cancelled.

Sounds like paying close to 600 bucks for 35K miles is not very worth it? Anyone care to comment. I have the premiermiles already so would not hurt from the loss of 0.1 mile per $ ... but just thinking of maximising the rewards. Any other cards to recommend?

Is that the signup fee? 600 for 35k Miles is 1.7 cents per mile - a pretty good rate if you are in need of miles urgently.

This card has become a sock drawer one - use it first year for whatever bonuses and cancel it before annual fee is due. The miles given for annual fee (renewal) is not good enough to continue.

One has to look at other benefits, if they are applicable to you. If you're talking about 0.1 miles more than premiermiles card, then it is the premier miles amex?
1) VISA vs AMEX acceptance
2) 3 mpd vs 2mpd for foreign currency spending
3) FOC yacht rental for $75k spent a year.
4) Additional 4 more PP lounge access a year, valued at US$27 each.
5) 10.8% cashback from Caltex

Whether worth it or not, depends if you use the benefits or not. If you do not make foreign currency, then 3mpd means nothing, same if you do not spend $75k a year, or use the lounge visits.

As for what other cards to recommend will depend on your spending patterns. I spend >$75k a year plus mainly in foreign currency, thus the additional 1mpd makes more diffence than 0.1mpd. That's extra 75k miles a year, valuing it at $0.01 per mile, that's $750. And whether I renew next year will depend on its benefits next year, rather than the renewal bonuses.

It's the premiermiles citibank i am referring to. I guess free yacht rental is fairly attractive, but the lounges and all that really are not that great to me. Probably will give it a miss i guess.

Wow foreign spending really makes up quite a bit. I buy stuff from the US but definitely nowhere near your amount. Probably could give me a few miles at most.

I meant Citibank premier miles Visa gives 1.2mpd while the AMEX version gives 1.3mpd. This VI gives 1.4mpd. So to make up your 0.1mpd difference, that is you have the AMEX version?

So all existing PB VI’s priority pass will switch to the new scheme on 1 Jan? Or until the PP card expires?
