hey, to those who received the 1.8% until March 2023 promotion... is it as simple as just dumping in $100k on 31 August over 31 July end-of-day balance and we'll qualify throughout?

no holding period?

so on 1 September I can take out the $100k and subsequently I'll still enjoy the 1.8% on the account balance, right?

also, another question is... does this promo stack with the current Aug-Sep promo of 1.45% (or 1.5%)? so we enjoy double promo (0.05% + 1.75% + 1.45%)??? i know i'm a bit greedy but... well, anything is possible right lol.
you can dream that it is stacked .... 0,05 + 1.75 + 1.45 :)

correct ... just ensure end of day 31 Aug 2022 balance is at least $100,000 more than Jul 31 balance. On 1 Sep, you can do whatever you want with the $100,000. Actually the $100,000 is sort of like indicate to SCB that this "by invite" account has accepted and will be participating in this promo.

Thought I would get 1.8% but got only 1.5%, it seems that withdrawing from e-saver 2 months ago & redepositing doesn't count as fresh funds ?

U received the invitation email for 1.8%? Have u check with them yet?

For me, firstly, didn't expect the bonus interest to be in so soon. That's a surprise, good job, SCB.

Secondly, I faced the same issue as u, the amount is not right. Not sure is it they did the generic 1.5% for everyone first, then the 0.3% at a later date.

Yes, in the app. I don't think they will pay the 0.3% later as the bonus interest is 1.75%, not sure.

I also got 1.5% nia. I thought 1.8% :(

Hopefully the 0.3% will be manually credited later. Hope they are not like HSBC where every time got to guess & pray whether got extra interest or not.

In any case, not waiting to find out. moved some over to RHB which I think its the highest right now.

My guess is they probably will do the another adjustment soon. In fact, I was very surprise to even see the 1.45% bonus interest coming as in their TnC, they stated up to 20th of next month to credit the bonus, so I was expecting maybe in the first week. Anyway, they can do a single or multiple credit transactions, so just have to wait unless it has past 20th of next month and still nothing. Here's the clause I am referring to:

6. The Bonus Interest shall be credited to your Qualifying Account(s) in single or multiple credit transactions by the 20th calendar date of the following month (the “Bonus Interest Crediting Date”), provided that your Qualifying Account remains valid and in good standing as at the Bonus Interest Crediting Date.

where u all see the 1.8%? I got 1.5%... (which is 1.45% + 0.05% base)

update: oh.. I get it now, the invitational 1.8%.

I only dumped in $100k yesterday (31 Aug) so I thought I would qualify only from today (1 Sep) for the 1.8%.

hope they credit in the difference again next month :p

1. The public bonus rate of 1.45%, previously they usually credit by 7th of following month. So it is a surprise they credit on 31 Aug which all of us received
2. For those of the "by invitation" rate of 1.75% + 0.05%, the balance will be credited by 20th of the following month. This is based on my experience with previous "by Invitation" promo. The TnCs of the "by invitation" also state it the bonus will be paid "in single or multiple credits" Clause 6

it's not stackable right? like 1.45% + 0.05% now and then 1.75% later (by 20th of following month).

or could it be...? LOL

guess have to wait till 20th Sep to know if they're going to credit in the difference 0.3% or what.

Yes, please refer to the above for people who are still confused.

Based on my past experience, I was super surprised to see the bonus came in end of Aug (even though it was just the 1.45%, it was a pleasant surprise) as usually only receive bonus around first week of following month. So for those with invitation, just wait patiently forthe extra 0.3%.

Special attention for public who are on 1.5% promo, your promo period is until 30 Sep 2022 only, so do your homework, it may be better for you to move somewhere else STARTING TODAY as many banks are offering very attratctive IR now. This is because if there is a "next" promo period for you, the reference month may be Sep, e.g. Oct-Nov for incremental fresh funds* (compared to Sep 2022’s average daily balance). So today is the PERFECT DAY to move out! ;)

Anybody know if we can musical chair this invitation only 1.8% with rhb? Since the 1.8% is based on incremental from july AMB? Can potentially earn 5.5% every alt month

You checked with the CSO liao? or you assume that's what they will do? 😬
pre covid, the first time i participated in such by invite promo, I was also shocked when the bonus int credit was not per the invite email. So i called the CSO and they explained. Subsequent by invite promo, did not bother to call. The credit is per previous rounds. SCB is quite systematic, not like that Hxxx.

i have this esaver account for many many years. It's just that during covid, their interest rate was so low that I withdraw funds and maintained minimum balance.

Same here got 1.5% only, not 1.8% as promised in the email sent to me.

My fund is totally fresh.
