Hi, can any of you please advise if the 3.80% p. a. interest rate applies to new SC e-Saver account opening with funds transfer in of say $30K (ie much less than $2 million - because when I checked the site https://www.sc.com/sg/save/savings-accounts/esaver, the way it is described gives me the impression that the interest rate of 3.80% p.a. applies only on eligible deposit balance of exactly S$2 million, not up to S$2 million) ???

u still get 3.8% on $30k fresh funds since yours is new account so I reckon Nov ADB is $0. the website meant capped at $2M.

Thanks EveMuffins, jov1623 and iduncheckmail. Can any of you kindly advise if SC e-Saver is a good account to alternate / play musical chair with RHB High Yield Savings Account (for say $30K) month after month? I have transferred (and just left $0.01) funds out of my RHB HYSA and am looking for an account to park the $30K. Or which (hassle-free) account do you all recommend? UOB One? OCBC 360? Citi Plus Savings? SingLife? SIF GoSavers Account?

Hi, need some help on the E$aver exclusive promotion invite. Today, I have received the 3.8% exclusive invite. Can I know which accounts are being qualified for this promotion. In the Frequently Asked Question, it mentioned that "they have indicated in the communication sent to you the last 4 digits of your automatically qualified accounts for this promotion". But I wasn't able to find the which account is eligible for this promotion.
Thanks

this invite will extend until May '23. I am thinking of lock in the rate if in any case, the interest rate goes down after January, I will still get the 3.8%. And if the public rate increase, I still can get the increased rate.

yes it is relatively good no-frills account, that you can pair with uob one.
the rates are short term high only. enjoy it while it lasts and still can :)

actually one-mth is high, so they can profit even with no loans or anything in the picture. rhb is one that reflects the closest.

Any fall below fees for this esaver Acc? Must have min $2k?
1k min, otherwise fall below fee $5 will be charged. However, if u keep zero balance on last day of mth, nothing to deduct/charge. But pls make sure u dun deposit at or past midnight on the first day of mth or you will lose $5! Always do your ibanking during day time before cutoff time. Read earlier post, someone kena!

Invitation rates no guaranteed, SCB can revise anytime they wish.

I am not in eSaver but exploring feasibility. So you are saying that though an invitation state bonus interest till may 23 but SC can revise at anytime before may 23? Or they have to abide by the invitation's timeline and only revise after May 23 in the above eg? Thanks 🙏

any fees when closing the esaver acc if they revise the rates?
Just keep 0 balance and leave it open until 6 months and then you can close it for free. I have tested with most SG banks. Leave 0 balance on last day of month, there is no money to deduct fall below fee, so they don't deduct. If you keep some balance then they deduct.

Best to read all the clauses in your invitation notice as it might varies.

mine got a clause 10 that states the Bank may modify the rates without prior notice.
