Agree. Transfer of funds from BOC require physical token, Same as ICBC.
BOC actually now has software token but you need a debit card. Don't have cannot. Other forum say even if have also cannot activate hahaha so back to hardware token

Good to know that. Scammers can't even touch the money in BOC :)

BOC even with hardware token, if transfer large sum of money, it will require a second authentication through OTP to get through.

My account got locked recently when I transfer big sum of money out.

They tried to call me a few times to verify but I did not pick up call. So they lock my account.

Dear customer, we noticed multiple or large outflow of funds made via digital services with your BOC account. The Bank has attempted to contact you regarding these transactions but we were unable to reach you. As we are unable to verify these transactions, the Bank will temporarily deactivate all services (including electronic banking services and GIRO services) linked to your account as a safeguard. If the transaction was made from a joint-account, please kindly inform your joint-account holder. Please contact BOC hotline or head down to any of our branches for assistance to reactivate your account.

My only complaint about BOC is the staff handling banking calls are not fluent in english (don't have this issue for credit card). Have difficulty understanding them. And they are not able to unlock but have to refer to team. End up have to go to branch which could unlock on the spot.

How do we get to speak to CSO? Called the hotline & all the options do not have one that will connect me to a CSO unless I select the SCAM option. Anyone knows? Even chat cannot get to a CSO to chat.

The annoying part is no options provided & when it takes too long to respond, it will cut u off. I think will just select the SCAM option to reach to a CSO if no other choice.

And more and more banks no longer operate 24/7 which is bad.

Those that hv smaller headcount , lesser 1 or 2 branches , shorter hotline hours are on standby to ___________

Nowadays big sum transfer will kena more check this make say we wanna reach promo in time harder as some is first come first serve. Someone say get cashier order etc yes but then need pay. This mean I will go for promo with lesser minimum within 50k as fast is that. Those like Mari Invest 70k eSaver 100k etc will give it a miss

And also u take part in the Nov24-Jan25 promotion.... what happens for Feb if u choose not to take out??

If the next promotion requires fresh funds... would that not mean I have to take out for at least a month (Feb) then put back in during Mar?

Why u want register for Nov marathon, the Nov marathon interest (For Nov) is lower than the 2-mth Oct-Nov interest leh

Tag along. Anyone receive SC promo on some curated funds similar like UOB four funds? Theirs is work with Amundi the holdings is a mixed bag of funds plus ETF plus money market. Test water minimum 1k and now no sales charge and they pay dividends monthly. Cash+ and Income.

If top up only in nov, leaving same amount in dec, that same amount in dec will also earn bonus int?

tiertime is trying to say that the interest rate, 3.35% p.a. for eSaver Bonus Interest (01 Oct 2024 to 30 Nov 2024) Promotion is higher than the interest rate (3% p.a., 3.05% p.a. and 3.20% p.a.) for Marathon Saver (Nov 2024).

It is so hard to measure now they mix fund and ETF and money market all into one. For 0 sales charge I will give it a try minimum 1k

Did you notice in the email there is a "Up to 0.95% p.a." all in one management fees? What is the significance of this fee? Thank you
