Sigh, eSaver rates have dropped. 1.4% for $200,000 and above.

Where you read in from? I went their esaver page but nothing about dec promotion

If really 1.4% also no choice.. At least it is still higher than most FD rates + no lock in..

Got it from my RM. There is reduction of 0.3% for all 3 tiers.

Seems like HSBC SaveUp is now marginally better. Time to look at it in greater detail.

I do everything thru FAST within a day. Of course FAST limit is $50k/day

if u have $5M then u do 100 days? :s13:

anyway if it really drop to 1.4% then byebye to esaver, gg to route to HSBC premier for step up bonus promo

at least got 1.55% + 0.7%

and now got spin and win promo on their debit card, accumulated 50+ twelve cupcakes, awfully choco icecrema and grab voucher..iwatch super hard to win

Aww.. drop again. Nvm. Good time for me to reject the SC. Since they say wait for new promo then come and sign up. Now can straight away tell them to their face says their rate can't make me high. :s13:

How do you normally satisfy the $500 debit card spend?

petrol, SP services..telco bills..alot of things u can prepay

i calculated its around 10-12% CC rebate based on 0.7% for $100k, so its definitely worth it to spend on e debit card

i love the gifts though..starbucks $10, cold storage $10, grab $3, cupcake, icecream, iwatch..sure win one..

If I don't have priority banking, keeping it at zero will make it negative balance?

this one i am unsure though never try before, but i dont think will fall to zero

usually even if they do a fall below fee deduction it can be easily waived with a call

i used to do this, but stopped doing so after they added this clause..

* "Fresh funds” means funds that do not originate from any existing account with the Bank or funds that are not withdrawn and re-deposited within 30 days of the Promotion Period.

so now every 2 mth i have to route it to UOB HY and back to another esaver on following day, which is troublesome and incur 1day of opportunity costs. U tried cash deposit slip and it work?

i tried it initially but as the amount got larger, can only use the method you mentioned...switching between uob hy and esaver...so yes, lose 1 day, sometimes more as got weekends and sometimes i banked in the cheques late :s13:

still waiting to see if its really 1.4%, with US fed rate increase i was not expecting such a large reversal

maybe the earlier post was saying bonus interest dropped from 1.45% to 1.4%, but prevailing int remains 0.25% so have 1.65%

it will be quite surprising if it drops so much because they have been pretty aggressive for the past few months. last time did not even receive letter notifying about eSaver promo, but for the past few months every 2 months they had been sending the postcard promoting eSaver
