Even if cant meet HSBC premier, can just qualify as HSBC Advance (1.5% bonus + 0.7% for debit card spend) is still better deal than SCB esaver

But the bonus interest is only for additional/incremental deposits more than 30k??

no leh. $1 also can.

is hsbc advance need to be tie up one? if not, why don't everyone just open hsbc advance and enjoy 1.5% flat? is there something i missed?

I don't see any thread regarding hsbc advance or premier. only step up promo. so i'm not sure where to ask

It's compared to the reference month. For new Advance customer, it's from the first $1! Anyone wants to open a new account, and willing to indicate me as their referral, please feel free to drop me a PM ok? Many thanks in advance ah... :s13:

Any easy way to qualify for HSBC Premier? Advance is much easier, just need to transfer $1,500 every month for free 48 months Advance rather than $30k AUM. Is there a similar alternative for Premier apart from $200k AUM?

unfortunately no, one reason why ppl choose premier over advance is due to the sign up gifts, 6 mth back put $200k can get free pair of air tic to HK

pay SingTel bills online to the debit card... qualify as part of the 500?

Usual exclusions should also apply here (you can read the tnc to confirm).. but imagine clocking a spend of $500 and getting 0.7% extra spend bonus for up to $100k ie extra interest of $58 pm (if u bank in $100k) ... that's like a 12% rebate on $500 spend, isn't it?

They also have X'mas spend promo now for every $50 charged to the debit card - to get 1 chance to participate ... :s12:

Oh, I didn't know doing bill payments also can qualify.. how about paying credit card bills via AXS using debit card? Does it count?

this one doesnt count because u r using NETS..i was referring to prepaying telco bills directly on their website via VISA..

think u just download e pdf and check out the exclusion..its all there anyway

“Retail Transactions” means any successful VISA transaction charged to the Debit Card with
transaction date falling within each Relevant Month, provided that the following transactions
shall not constitute valid Retail Transactions for purposes of this Promotion:
(a) transactions using NETS functionality;
(b) fees or charges including annual fee, service fee and other miscellaneous fees in respect of
the Debit Card;
(c) cash withdrawal at ATM machine; and
(d) any amount charged to the Debit Card during each Relevant Month that is subsequently
cancelled, voided or reversed.

precisely, thats why its a must to charge to the debit card

most banks only give 3% rebate on average, so you are netting extra 9-10%

and the spin and win is marvellous as its a sure win, but most of the time its awfully choco and twelve cupcakes

on average out of 10 spin, 50% is cupcake, 40% is awfully choc icecream, 10% is grab voucher..didnt get iwatch cold storage voucher or starbucks card

Reference month means the previous month? If for eg,

I place 30k in first month when opening the account,
then second month i didnt place additional/incremental deposits, how much interest rate will the 30k get?

The HSBC premier 1.55% pa , must keep for 90 days and it's for unlimited amount in the account and also includes a welcome bonus of 400 bucks.(not taking the tiks air)

The additional 0.7% pa based on debit 500 spend is up to a maximum on the 1st $100k.

My interpretation correct ? The tncs are really lengthy compared to other banks

The 400 is in addition to the 1.55% or included within 1.55%?

Can someone enlighten if it will be considered fresh fund if I withdraw cash from esaver account 1 at the counter and then deposit cash into esaver account 2? It has been 2 months since they said they would mail me token within a week, and today I still have no token to withdraw fund online. If the above works I might just pay $5 counter service instead of money stuck inside with no interest waiting for token to be mailed. I informed RM weeks ago to call me when new rate is up, not only that I didn't receive call but my calls to her went unanswered. Very not impressed with the service.

Don't recall can get $400 cash if not taking air tickets. Recall it's is $400 CX voucher I think ??

PS re-read $400 cash credit is for "international clients"

Can ask for $5 waiver.
