Why no one posting on this 3.5% (given this news is now almost a day old).
https://www.sc.com/sg/save/savings-accounts/myway/

ok it is tiered meaning disadvantaging the first $1.5M meaning aggregate is much lower than 3.5%.
The product is horrible, unless you're (1) old and above the age of 55 (2) not digitally savvy (3) fear scams more than anything else in your life.

Better off with SSB for the long term, or Tbills in the short term. Those are much safer than having money in the bank.

What a horrible product, first $50k 0.05%, next $200k 0.5%, next $1.25m 1%. And requires 55 years old and above.

What was the product manager smoking when he/she conceived this?

the bank will reward the product manager greatly.
a legal way of tricking the elderly into putting money in this lousy product.

Fear mongering.
Leveraging on elderlies with good impression of brand.
Probably insurance for elderly $ loss not cheap.
Elderlies may not be capable of doing esaver musical chairs (MC) cos funds under trust and the trustee don't play MC games, so for half demented wealthy elderlies, SCB got solution for them, but it ain't gonna be cheap.

Very big amount?
I just transferred 100k with no problem. Was to a new payee too. Transfer was immediate.
Was surprised, cos 2x before , last year I had transfered that amount, and both times they held back the money and called me back to ask questions first before releasing the money.
I was pleased that they took that precaution. Don't know why they didn't this time

Did you all input any comment when you performed the transfer?
