got hit with account locked/suspended as i was transferring money out. Usually takes how long to get it unlocked?

Very big amount?
I just transferred 100k with no problem. Was to a new payee too. Transfer was immediate.
Was surprised, cos 2x before , last year I had transfered that amount, and both times they held back the money and called me back to ask questions first before releasing the money.
I was pleased that they took that precaution. Don't know why they didn't this time

Not a must. I am just checking whether the bank will "lock/suspend" the account due to empty comment or not.

My online and mobile access also got suspended / account locked while trying to transfer my holdings out to another bank. Yet I'm now on the SCB hotline phone waiting to get connected cuz its busy. Zzz...SCB like trying to hold up our money.

Update: Relevant team will call within 24 hours to question me on the transaction. Expedited to try to call within an hour.

I give up on SCB. Tried transferring fund into my account but was rejected. Then I tried another 2 accounts to transfer fund into my account. Again all deposits got rejected. Then decide to make withdrawal but encountered no problem. What the heck they doing? I gave up on this bloody bank. Going leave it dormant just like my life member credit card which has been dormant for the past 15 over years.

After other deposits from 3 banks were rejected, I tried making a withdrawal and it was successful. Later I tried depositing $100 it was also rejected. What you think they are suspecting?

your account dormant for 1yr+?
if im not wrong, if account dormant, some bank systems will freeze any incoming fund to prevent ML/scam.
will need to call in to do some verifications (i.e account owner checks) before lifting the "dormancy"

Did you call them to ask why?

Have you remitted money from those accounts before?
